Christmas in July 🎄

Starting my Christmas shopping now! Shopping for 3 kids, will be a 7yr girl, 3yr boy and 1yr girl

Does anyone have recommendations on fav toys or any ideas really on what to buy?

I'm about to start. Just going to get books and interactive discovery/national geographic kits. Too early to buy my 7 year old boy specific toys. He likes something new every other week lol. For my 3 year old boy, I'm going to get him some puzzles to start off with. Maybe some new shoes.

Yep! I have wish lists created (mostly educational toys and activities) for my kids and I'll watch the prices. My daughter turns 4 a week before Christmas and my baby will be 1 next month so planning helps the budget for sure 😅

I’ll be buying a new water bottle for my toddler and a matching card game and puzzles hoping he finally doesn’t lose the pieces and kinetic sand / play doh . The big gift will have to wait till stores send out toy flyers for him to pick what he asks for .

My daughters birthday is 3 weeks after Christmas. I start Christmas/birthday shopping in March

I haven’t started and probably won’t. I have three older teens who will most likely get £ or easy stuff like aftershaves/perfumes that I don’t really need to plan ahead. The younger ones will be Vinted / charity shop jobs while I can still get away with it :) I got some great bargains in the charity shop for my sons second birthday full sets of duplo and race tracks and play sets. Just brought it all home washed it in the bath and laid it out. Who needs boxes 🤣

I’m starting next week after my oldests birthday

I’ve got 2 girls who at Xmas will be 3 and about to turn 2)

They’re getting a new kitchen from the Aldi wooden toy event,
A tonie box and idk what else yet

I start mine at the beginning of the year and buy items throughout the year when things are on offer/sales. I find it far easier to spread the cost this way and not end up in a mad rush towards the end of the year 😊

I do this every year it helps so much!! We already have all of our nieces and nephews bought for and I got some bits for our 2 on prime day as well. Honestly people say I’m mad but I love it because by December I’m all done and can actually enjoy Christmas!

I normally wait until the October due to toy sales. That said we’ve brought my 9 year old an Alexa in the Amazon prime day. I might pick up a few stocking presents.

Overwhelmed....so many questions....

I feeling overwhelmed at the moment, I have a lot of questions, I know I should go to my health visitor but I don't because of an incident earlier in the month, I am a bit annoyed at her, I know she can't help it but a phone call asking how it's going and a bit of advice. At the start of the month my daughter got gas really bad, to the point I had to go to the doctor's, they did nothing, so I called my health visitor, she was busy but the lady on other end tried to help and said she should call back the next day, I waited all week on the understanding she's busy but that was like the end week if June and still she hasn't called, I sorted the problem out myself. But now I got more questions and I don't have any trust in her, so what would everyone else do with what I am asking....
Can I take a month old baby away for about a week in the UK, for context my husband sometimes has to work away for his job, it's usually no more than a couple nights away, he was on the understanding that they know he's got a newborn and were trying to keep him local but he has three jobs in Scotland, from Wednesday to Friday, then the next Monday to Wednesday a job in Newcastle, his plan is for me to come up Thursday till the next Wednesday, I have family in Scotland and are in the right area to see them and he doesn't want to leave me alone for that length of time, he could go to Scotland and come back at the weekend but whats the point when Newcastle is on Monday and the job starts early, I don't know what to do, I would travel by train, I am ok with this but is it safe because she hasn't had any injections, she would only see a few family members and I am planning to stay in the air b n b for most of it, I don't know what to do, what would everyone else do....

My bd and I have been trying to work things out…

He has been coming over mainly because he’s got no where to stay and he’s not allowed here because we fight and will both get physical but 2 nights ago he got real crazy on me again and I could see his schizophrenia psychosis episode start and I’m remembering why I left and how absolutely crazy he makes me. He’s the scariest person when mad,

can’t remember why he was mad but he literally walked in my house angry when we were just supposed to have a good night and watch movies and cuddle and sleep.

The pic below just really shows how he makes sure to only hurt me a enough so it doesn’t show, he told me like 4 times to shut the fuck up before I get knocked out when I just wanted to fucking go back to bed.

He ended up leaving and coming back like 4 times then finally stopped and basically said he’s sorry and just wanted to go to bed…👀 we ended up going to sleep but my nerves were so shot I’m still shaky trying to remember even what happened fully.

He not at a mental health clinic getting help, yesterday he had another experience where god talked to him (we believe in god but this isn’t god when he explains what the voices are telling him) luckily his mom was the person who he called to tell her the “good” new and she immediately came and got him.

My eczema has came back because of the stress he puts me under, I love him but I should have to live my life constantly being yelled at or being called an idiot or slow daily because I don’t understand certain things I am asd. He’s a programmer so I don’t understand most things in his world anyways but I’m constantly belittled or whenever I try and share my own interests it’s shut down or he doesn’t even listen to me and goes “huh sorry I thinking about something” and it kinda kills the vibes.

Third baby struggles

Anyone else had their third baby in June? How are you finding it?

I’m finding the baby easy. Breastfeeding is easy even with a tongue tie yet to be cut. I’m ok about being woken up all night. Nothing is a bother this time and I wish I could just devote all my time to him and do it all for longer.

However the juggling of three - wow. My older two have been generally great but some changes in behaviour.

My husband takes the older two out which helps. One of my older children wants me for everything though which is tough.

I am dreading paternity leave ending. I don’t know how I’m going to do it 😩

Any words of wisdom?

Getting stressed at partner (aka third child)

Getting stressed at the little things now. Feeling like I’m cleaning up after a third child and it’s exhausting and it’s such small things he doesn’t do which are so easy and simple that actually gets on my nerves so much!!! He just expects me to do it all ugh.
