I got pregnant after 4 years and I was told after both my pregnancies (both were c-section in different countries) that there should be a gap of 18 months atleast and ideally 2 years for the delivery post a c-section. This is to avoid uterine rupture I suppose and maybe some other complications…

Both my kids were born via C-section and after my first I was told to wait one full year post C-section before getting pregnant again. I think the longer the wait, the less likely a uterine rupture is

I was originally told 12-18 months but I’ve since met with my OB and primary and got the all clear from both. We started this process knowing we wanted them close so we’ve been working to make that a safe possibility from jump.

My ob made me promise to wait at least a year at my 6month post partum visit, to get pregnant again post c section. (At that point I wasn’t even ready to talk about conceiving again) I am 15 months post partum, hubs and I are talking about conceiving again.

I was 7 months post c section when I got the positive test, currently 17 weeks pregnant and no one has said anything negative about it.

I got pregnant 1yr postpartum with my second. She is 8mo now and the pregnancy was easier than my first. I tried for a VBAC, but I didn’t dilate enough (again), so I had another unplanned C-section.

17 months just because personally I was happier waiting and knowing I was healed then risking anything. But again it was personal preference. Depends on risks you want to take
