So I'm finally announcing my son's arrival.
Born 8th July after being admitted to hospital for an induction. Being induced at 39 weeks, waiting for days to go on the ward for my waters to be broken which ended in an emergency c section. My scans all showed baby plotting above 99 percentile and they were right as he was 9lbs 13oz. Baby pooped inside which was noted when my waters were broken and he developed a temp and his respiratory rate was elevated so we ended up staying a few days after too. Ended up coming home on his due date 11th July! Just posting on here if anyone wants any further information.
Also trying my hardest to breastfeed this time so any tips please send them my way.

Invest in a good nipple cream & silver nipple things (sorry baby brain but google). Also make sure you get support if you’re not happy with latch etc early. And stock up on one handed snacks and a good water bottle. I’m BFing one twin and expressing for the other (they were prem and his suckle reflex and latch aren’t 100%) and these bits have saved me the last week x

Congratulations 🎉❤️

Massive congratulations and well done mama.
Breastfeeding is very full on for the first 6 weeks as they cluster feed. It then gets a whole lot easier.
There shouldn't be any pain so do get a latch check if you are feeling any ❤️

Congratulations! I couldn’t breast feed my first one, but doing it with the second now. He is three weeks old and only started cluster feeding. I would say using a manual pump early on has helped increasing my supply so much that he’s only had to eat at every 3 hours or so and still steadily gaining weight. He was also born at 36 weeks, so I’m really happy with the progress we made. I also gave him some ready made formula too up to date 4, while my nipples were recovering 🙈 so I would advise it as a last resource ☺️
