Hey! My baby just turned 4 months yesterday and I was wondering if anyone had started solids at 4 months or is it best to wait until 6 months? Also looking for some recipes other moms have made for there babies for future ideas 😊 thank you ❤️

We did baby led weaning with our first and will do yhe same this time at 6 months. It has a lot of health benefits

Look for indicators that they are ready. Can they sit up fairly independently, showing interest in food, has the tongue thrust reflex disappeared? 4 months isn’t a magical number. With my first we offered tastes around 5 months and didn’t really start with oatmeal until 5.5 when she really was ready and showed interest. My second turns 4 months on Thursday and we’re not ready for solids yet.

We started purées with my first at 4 months per our peds recommendation - but our instruction was that it is for exploration ONLY from 4-6 months. It should not start replacing calories until 6 months old

My son turned 4 months on Sunday and his ped said if he’s showing interest in my food and sitting up well enough we can try it. We gave him a little pureed pear tonight and he loved it!

Of course! I just had him sitting up in my lap and my husband fed him
