Are pregnancy pillows actually useful?

Hello all,

I am pregnant with my first baby due in January and just wondering whether I should get a pregnancy pillow?

Do they actually help or make you sleep better?

Can you just use regular pillows and get the same result?

I've seen videos of mums saying they're pointless and just using normal pillows instead, even for breastfeeding.

The ladies who have tried pregnancy pillows, please let me know!

And if they really are useful, which shape or style is the best?

Thank you!

Well my youngest is 11 months now and I still haven't given mine up. Probably one of the best things Ive ever bought at all 😂 I was always a stomach sleeper so I got it to keep me comfortable sleeping on my side. I went for one with the full length both sides x

During the first few months of pregnancy there not needed as much but mid to late pregnancy when you start getting that belly it really helps especially when baby drops and you have uncomftable pressure in your pelvis

I just used the straight ones for both my pregnancies they take uo a little less room in the bed then the ones that go all around you

I loved mine. And I used it after birth as well. I had a section and having that was the only way I could sleep. I also had the full U shape one!!

Lost confidence in pregnancy.

I posted a pic of myself (26 weeks pregnant) after having my hair and eyebrows done and new comfies to try and make myself feel better, help with my confidence about gaining weight in my pregnancy. (6 miscarriages and 1 toddler and one on the way in the past 2 and a half year has completely changed my body and confidence)

A friend laughed at my photo and said how big I was and its just knocked me a bit. I'm Supposed to be going out with a different group of my partners friends for their birthday next week and I dont feel like I have the confidence to go anymore.

Probably just hormones but just needed a space to vent

Breathlessness worth a triage call?

Im 31 weeks today have been getting out of breath for a good few weeks now. Today though I was at work today really struggling to breathe to the point it made me cry a little. The smallest tasks and im panting. I know im pregnant and this is normal, not that I had this with my last pregnancy, is it worth a call to triage I dont want to waste their time but im struggling

Related pregnancy

I’m 33 weeks pregnant and experiencing severe itching all over my body. The itching makes me scratch a lot, and now I have brown pigmented spots where I’ve scratched. I’m really stressed and worried about whether these marks will go away. Has anyone else experienced this during pregnancy?
