Hey! My midwife said not to worry about patterns yet as babies don’t really move a lot till 28-30 weeks but you’re always welcome to go to triage they won’t use a CTG machine till over 26 weeks but they can give a quick check up for your reassurance! Mine has lazy days and maybe they only
Kick once or twice!! I’m also 25 weeks!

They say if by 24 weeks you haven’t felt movement to go into triage. If you have been feeling movement but are worried I would recommend going into triage and they can put your mind at rest. They won’t be able to put you on the monitor until 26 weeks and even then it can fail sometimes due to baby still having a lot of space.

Definitely go to triage if you are worried about anything there is nothing worse than feeling unsure and worried

Hugo, wanky or ok?

Hey,

I would love your help. I have my girl name but am in a pickle when it comes to a boy name we’ve chosen.

I’m Australian and my husband is Irish. The baby will be born in London, not sure where it will grow up long term but it will be one of the above.

I adore the name Hugo. My husband took some convincing but is now on board.

However! Since deciding, the reaction has been that it’s ‘upity’ ‘wanky’, ‘linen boy vibes’ and signals ‘social reaching’! I was shocked - after some research it seems in Europe it’s a pretty chill normal name, which was my interpretation, but potentially in Ireland / UK that’s not how it’s perceived.

It’s really spooked me, and totally turned my husband off.

Any help would be much appreciated - is Hugo considered a wanky name?

Should I wear the dress?

It’s my 40th birthday party on Saturday. I still have the dress I wore to my 16th birthday, so I tried it on and it fits (a bit snug).

Should I wear it to the party on Saturday?

Tell them or keep quiet?

Someone really close to you asks you to look at a preliminary medical report. At first you both just think it’s the medical history saying what had happened in the past. You tell her this and eveyone feels better.

Then you look again and see the encounter date is the date she had an updated CT scan. So now you are 90% sure the report is talking about new findings. Do you tell the other person this or keep it to yourself? Obviously you are not a doctor and have no medical training. But you can read. Other person doesn’t go to see doctor for another week.

You keep your mouth shut right?

C section massage

I am almost 8 weeks pp after having a surprise c section. I’ve been cleared to return to any and all activities for a few weeks and have seen a lot about c section massage to reduce the appearance of the shelf (which seems to be the result of internal stitches and a tiny bit of extra fat/skin left over from pregnancy) but no one has given much guidance. When can I start massaging the scar and how do I determine how much pressure/movement is appropriate? Just by how it feels or should I wait longer before starting? Thanks in advance!
