Sleep Training

My 7 week old will not sleep unless he’s held…not a problem at night but can be a bit difficult during the day because it’s sometimes hard to get things done. It’s also affecting his naps because I’m sometimes unable to hold him for a full nap and he’ll stay awake for hours during the day. Any tips on how to gradually get him to sleep independently? I use a baby carrier from time to time but it’s not always convenient

Unfortunately this is normal and starts to lessen after 8 weeks but genuinely I had to tell myself “tge house will be clean again one day but he will never be this little again…” and I let him sleep on me for almost tge first three months. They need you less and less at 4 months and then by 6 months when they don’t need your warmth to regulate their temperature anymore it’s kind of bittersweet how they can sleep without you lol. PS. Make sure his ears stay warm and try picking 3 things you do on repeat for every nap. Their nervous system, like ours, relaxes around familiar sights, sounds, and motions

Also (not sure if this will be helpful but) I read that when putting baby down, they should be placed on their side and then rolled onto their back. Apparently they feel like they’re falling if you put them down on their back.

Unfortunately, you can’t do much to fix at 7 weeks 😭 a lot of sleep training methods are for older babies. My baby can’t sleep independently during the day either, but he’s slowly getting a bit better and better. It’s a struggle

Dark under eyes

My toddler is on the spectrum she’s 2 years and a half old for the third time this week she skipped her nap and stayed up from 7:30 to 6:00 6:30 pm but last night she slept from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm so still had a lot of sleep my question is is this normal for her age ? And the darkness under her eye is from lack of proper sleep im assuming ?

Need Help!

Hi, I’m a FTM to a 4 week old baby boy. I’m concerned about my baby during evening feeds. In the morning and afternoon he usually only needs 1–2 burps, but in the evening he gets trapped burps after almost every 2–3 sips. He starts gulping the milk quickly, arches his back, breathes fast, cries, and won’t continue feeding until the burp comes out. Milk also leaks from the corners of his mouth while he’s drinking and once he burps, he settles and starts feeding again, but the same thing keeps happening throughout the feed for about 8-10 times in one feed. Does anyone know what might be causing this or has anyone experienced something similar?

Worried mum 4 month Baby

My baby girl hasn't had a poo for the past 18 days. I've taken her to the GP and they've assessed her thoroughly. They said she's perfectly fine, felt her tummy not hard or anything, and prescribed lactulose, which I've been giving her, but she still hasn't had a poo.

She's feeding really well, has plenty of wet nappies, seems happy, and otherwise looks absolutely fine. The doctor has told me to just keep giving the lactulose because they can't find anything wrong with her.

I also mentioned it to my sister inlaw, and she said it can be normal because sometimes babies use all of the milk they drink, so there's very little waste. That did reassure me a little, but I'm still worried!!!

Every day I keep thinking something might be wrong, even though she seems completely fine. Her farts smell really strong, but she still doesn't poo.

Has anyone else's baby gone this long without a poo? If so, what happened? I'd really appreciate hearing your experiences because I'm feeling quite anxious.

First time mum - 3 week old

My little girl has wake windows lasting longer. What can I be doing with her now? I sing, talk and use black and white cards. I’m just wondering if I should be doing anything else?

Thank you ☺️

Swaddle sack recommendations

Does anyone have any swaddle sack recommendations?

My 10 week old has outgrown the small Love To Dream swaddle up. He loved it as he could have his hands nearby his face. We’ve tried the medium size but there’s way too much room in the arms - it’s not calming his movements at all and he constantly wakes himself up.

At the moment he’s using a Tommee Tippee Grobag, but his arms tend to fall down in the sack so he becomes uncomfortable and wakes up.

Would be grateful if anyone had any recommendations 🩵

Bottle feeding

My little one is 11 weeks old and bottle fed, my health visitor said that she should regularly feed between 3-4 hrs but lately she's been going longer then that despite our efforts, she will just refuse to the bottle. Is this normal? I'm worried this is going to effect her weight gain because she has already dropped a centile recently especially since she doesn't always drink over 100ml
