Co sleeping!

Need any advice on co-sleeping. I do not need judge ment or know it alls. I know in America it’s taboo but I need sleep yall. Newborn, only a week and a half old but I know for sure sleeping with him helps regulate and comfort him. I regret not doing it with my daughter. Still a nervous wreck about it tho. It’s been impossible to learn safe co-sleeping living in a country where it’s so frowned upon.

I’m in America & my son’s pediatrician had no problem with my honesty in us co-sleeping, she even admitted her own family bed shares.

My only advice is know the sleep safe 7. Know the risks. Take every precaution and do what you’ve got to do to get sleep. I was blessed with the opportunity to not need to bed share till 6 months old. It was still nerve wracking and lots of double checking. Sleeping in the c-curl is great I still use this position when we travel.

Dont do it on the bed where you can roll onto them. Only sleep on solid surfaces like a firm couch and have the baby on the inside. But the safest place is a bassinet. There are so many stories of smothered babies shared from paramedics and picu nurses so choose your battles wisely. An alive baby is better than a dead one.

We bed shared on and off from day one, and then steady from 2mo until 6mos.

For the love of god. Do it on your mattress and not on a couch.. I beg you.

Also op there’s a group on here full of cosleeping / bedsharing mommas! (I know the poll world group has the most reach but you’d get more informed answers without judgments in the more specific group!) https://www.peanut-app.io/share/iRnOhsBHR4b

8 weeks

My little one is 8 weeks now and I thought we’d be out of the trenches, but her wakeful periods are just her crying. She is either feeding, asleep or awake crying. When will the crying settle?! Is anyone else the same …

Do babies stop having blowouts?

My son is three months old and has occasional blowouts, we don’t deal with this problem a whole lot, but it happens and it stains his clothes when he does. I want to dress my son in cute outfits, but I don’t wanna spend money on nice if he’s just going to poop through them. So can anybody with older babies tell me does it stop or when does their poop become more solid and not as runny?

P.S. I know that babies are gonna poop and make messes. I don’t expect everything to be perfect clean all the time.

Breastfeeding - Latching on and off

My 6 week old has been really frantic on the breast during the day. He starts off feeding well and then cries, latching on and off. Opening his mouth wide but not actually latching on. Latching on for like a second then off. I initially thought it was the change in milk flow but not sure if this is the case. I do breast compressions, pause him for a bit and then try again but nothing helps. I’m really stuck. He also then doesn’t sleep.

Save my marriage plus a newborn

My baby is 5 weeks old and me and my husband are in the worst place weve ever been in our marriage. I used to feel like we were soul mates, he was my best friend but now we keep having arguments over petty things, when I try to communicate with him, he doesn't listen and storms off but then I cry and he shouts, swears and name calls if I try to stand up for myself. I've been diagnosed with postnatal depression too and am under the perinatal mental health team, they suggested some medication but my husband says hes "disappointed" that im considering medicstion. Any tips on how to save my marriage with a new born?
