Hey girlies I’m due 6th September and my midwife has told me I could be induced early due to my baby measuring big and that I need to start packing my hospital, looked online and I think the lists are too long like what’s the essential stuff I need to pack? I’m planning to breastfeed too so do I pack extra things for that??

Bring a hairbrush, toothbrush, deodorant and some comfy clothes and shoes for you! Don’t forget a phone charger! Bring an extra bag for all the medical stuff they will give you and forms and bring a cute outfit to take ur baby home in as well as car seat. I didn’t open my bag once, the hospital provided everything I would need! If you forget something you can always buy it at the gift store or have someone grab it for you so don’t worry too much!

My first baby was measuring huge so they made me have him early and then turned out he wasn’t as big, sometimes they get it wrong. They predicted 10-11lbs then he was born 7.13lbs at 38 weeks.

Ps ‘big baby’ alone is not a sufficient reason for induction, they notoriously get it wrong as the scans arent accurate. Dont feel pressured to be induced if you dont want to be. It can be a long tough process and result in more interventions vs natural labour
