I don’t want her to grow up! ☹️

Not a crazy post but maybe a crazy mommy. It’s so weird how having a baby completely rewires your brain! Before getting pregnant my husband and I agreed that we would NEVER cosleep! We said as soon as we get home from the hospital for the first week or two she would sleep in her bedside bassinet then we put her in her crib in her own room. Weeellll day one she slept in the bed, we thought just this once! She’s little and I wanted to get all the newborn snuggles on my first night home. Two months old now and she hasn’t left our bed 😭 I dread thinking about putting her in her own room. I don’t even want to put her in the bassinet! I told myself I’d never have a velcro baby but now I’m a Velcro mommy!! I don’t want her to leave ☹️☹️ I’d feel like I’m losing my baby 😭 (pic from her daddy 🥹)

I still cosleep since a midwife suggested it in hospital to help her settle....2 years later and still do! its been amazing and you genuinely sleep better,.as do they. dont be in a rush to do what is classed as 'normal' when it's not natural. Why would mum and baby be apart? Cosleeping is the norm in many other cultures. just make sure to do it safely. no duvet (sheet/light blanket up to waist, bed guards and careful when she starts standing). i bought extra tall drop down bed guards from amazon and wired the corners together

Can relate*
But I would say give you & your spouse SOME space. Itll be tough but your always arms reach away. A bed side bassinet is the best option imo. I kept mine as close as I could for as long as I could. W/out being scared of putting them in danger by being under me. Then I learned to take some space for my sanity as well. & we went from right next to the bed. To a wall across from the bed, to their own room, & back & fourth again & again. My first two(twins) slept in their own room for months. & then now we strictly cosleep. (Dads away mostly for work anyway) & it started innocently enough w trying to reduce my up & down time being pregnant with twins under 2. But here we are. All together. Sometimes in bed. 14 m/o sometimes falling asleep then placed in her own bed in the corner of our room. But my twins used to mama being right here. Im not rushing it. (Surly different w a partner who also wants to sleep in his bed everynight.) but as I said. I dont think its bad to have

Could have written this myself. Nearly 3 years into cosleeping and now have 2 beautiful little boys (nearly 3 year old and 7 month old) neither will be moving out of our bed/room until they are ready.
My toddler is the most confident little boy I know and he has the best attachment to me and honestly it has made it easier when I leave him with his grandparents on the rare occasion because it’s literally a push away and a yea bye mum then he’s back playing and is then excited to see me when I get him again no tears or anything just a yea whatever bye mum. So much benefit from cosleeping and all that extra touch. Plus you help baby regulate their temperature and heartbeat and their breathing how amazing is that plus it’s sooo much easier with breastfeeding as well.
Congratulations on your baby she is beautiful

Anyone else have zero libido?

I have no interest in sex whatsoever 8 months postpartum. I still think my partner is attractive and I notice attractive people around but that's as far as it goes. Zero interest not even for a kiss past a peck on the lips. I am thinking about kissing my partner full blown snog because it's been so long and I don't want to lose that feeling but I just don't feel bothered. Anyone else ever been through this?

Sex

Heyy fellow moms my husband and i just had the sex talk together tonight.

Honestly I can remember the last time my husband and i had sex. We'll tonight while we were talking he said to me that we are at an age where we shouldn't be having alot of sex. Mind you we are 31 only having sex maybe once a month maybe 5 times a year at most. Can anyone else relate to this? How did or do you deal with this.?

Thanks,
A really down mom.

Anyone else have regret? Does it get better?

Tl;dr does anyone relate to not really liking their baby and does it get better?

From the end of my pregnancy to now almost a year later, I’ve had such a difficult time with my baby. Postpartum has been really hard and I’m exclusively pumping and having a lot of issues with my baby’s sleep and he’s just always been and continues to be a fussy baby. I try to connect with him but my cup runs empty a lot and I don’t have a village to lean on. Anyone else can relate to regret having their baby almost a year later? Does it get better when they’re toddlers? My boy is super energetic and won’t sit still but is really reactive and I feel like I have nothing in common with him personality-wise. Originally, I wanted a girl I could sit and read and paint with and that’s not what I got. I kind of wish I could have a do-over and roll the dice on a baby again because it seems my friends have chill and easy babies and I’m doing all this on hard mode, feeling really depleted and not seeing things get better.

Sex

I gave birth on the 23rd and had an episiotomy which hasn’t given me to much bother tbh. I feel mentally ready to have sex but wondered if anyone else had? It feels fine down there but I’m nervous!

Can I ask how well are your 14 month olds speaking?

My little one says dada and ball but nothing really else, lots of sounds like baaa and uhoh but no real words! He will say mama when crying but nothing sure he’s using anything with real intent if that makes sense? Should I be concerned?
