My son’s DOB is December 30th!! The mum guilt is real… for some reason???
It’s a really rubbish time of year to have a birthday and now my son will be 2 this december, I have no clue what to do for his birthday. His dad and I are separated and last year he was only 1 so we split the day in half. But I don’t want to do that forever… What are people doing for their December babies birthdays?

I noticed this year with my 2 children anything I bought for their birthdays they haven't even touched because they just got that much for Christmas, my kids birthdays are may and December, we've decided to just go away for there birthdays instead doesn't have to be abroad away we done peppa pig world and Chessington for my daughters 3rd birthday in may and we're doing centre parks for my daughters 2nd birthday in December and then just 2 or 3 presents or on the day of there birthday letting them get whatever they want ( within reason🤣)

My boyfriend was born on the 27th December and I keep joking "ah no-one gives a s**t about your birthday, we've just had Christmas" (we have the same humour) 🤣
I get him a few presents to open on each day because he hates being spoilt
My advice is keep the two separate Christmas and birthday
I would like to add that I'm sorry you have to share times like this with your ex. That must suck big time

I saw a tradition where a family took all the Xmas decor off the tree and for one day turned it into a ‘birthday tree’ covered in trucks, dinosaurs and paw patrol but etc. it probably takes a bit of time to do once they’ve gone to sleep but it looked a nice tradition to make it ‘their day’ and not an extension of Xmas
