Erectile dysfunction

My partner suffers from erectile dysfunction and we’ve not had sex since I was around 5/6 months pregnant and I’m now 2 months PP but not through lack of trying.

He feels really insecure about it and we always cuddle after and I tell him it’s not a big deal and reassure him but I was wondering if anyone has any advice other than medical intervention?

We use condoms as contraception and often putting the condom on can cause him to lose his erection when he has been able to get erect. I don’t want to go on other contraception as I’ve had such a tough time in the past but also am definitely not ready to be pregnant again. Any tips?

If you're done having kids, I would just have him get a vasectomy. I HATE condoms, can definitely see how those could kill an erection. I know it's not 100% but we just use pull-out method.
As far as treating the ED, has he tried any supplements? Things like l-arginine have been known to help with that. Any supplement that increases blood flow. Exercise of course helps and I believe Kegel exercises too. I would start there and see if you can improve it without medications.

I would explore with him none penetrating sex. It can be LOT better than penetration for both of you.
Play with full body sensation. Honestly stop focusing on his penis being up could release the entire pressure around it and make you both enjoy sex life again.

My husband also has this issue and we’ve explored everything without avail. Doctor says it’s psychological as there isn’t anything medically wrong with him.

Even just talking to him bout his feelings or thoughts behind it will just kill the mood and even during you can tell it’s on his mind. So my hubs now has to go to therapy as there’s something underlying that isn’t to do with weight or cholesterol. Supplements aren’t for everyone so make sure you do plenty of research to get the right ones. X
