VBAC

Has anyone had a successful VBAC after getting pregnant in under a year? I found out I was pregnant 7 months pp by the time I’m ready to give birth il be around a year and 2-3 months postpartum. Apparently they don’t really want to induce if you’ve previously had a c section. Which puts me in a spot of if labour doesn’t progress would I just have to have one instead of being induced?
I’ve also been told by my partners mum that “they won’t give her an option it will be 36 weeks and she will be cut open” as if 😂, I’m sure they wouldn’t do that, it would have to be an elective and I’m positive it’s 37 weeks onwards.

Yes! I have had five VBAC’s and they were all under the recommended wait time. I was also induced with four out of my five VBAC’s, so you can absolutely be safely induced.

I was too scared. The dr said technically I can but I’d have to be induced (medical issues) and the risk of uterine rupture was too high for me to agree to it. If I was able to go into labor naturally then I would’ve tried

I'm on the same timeline as you, pregnant at 7 months pp. I don't really seem to have a choice I'm already scheduled for my c section at 39 weeks. They say if I go into labor before and everything seems ok then I can do the vbac but they don't make it sound likely

Its not all forms of induction that are an issue with vbacs so there are some available if an induction is needed. If you are on facebook id recommend the vbac link community group for lots of vbac birth stories.

I got pregnant 6 months postpartum after an emergency c section and had a successful vbac. Was induced the first time so refused to be induced the second time. I had a c section booked before my due date (which they pushed me to do) but the night before I cancelled it as I wanted a vbac. Went into labour naturally although they were trying to force me to have elective or induction but I said no 🤣might be a good idea to have a back up like a booked induction or c section just in case though x

I had a successful VBAC a month ago, after getting pregnant with my second 7 months postpartum! I was consultant led but they actively pushed me to try for a VBAC, which I was grateful for as the recovery has been so much better, than my emergency C-section last year! I didn’t need to be induced as went into labour naturally, albeit early (35 weeks), but they didn’t say that this was due to previous C-section!

Keep forgetting I’m pregnant

I am 15+3 and I keep forgetting I’m pregnant and don’t feel pregnant as I don’t have any symptoms that are typical. Is this normal? I’ve got a bump now but it still doesn’t feel real to me yet.

Elected c- section

Hey ladies I've opted for an elected c-section as i had one before but it was an emergency and have been told if i push and struggle im just going to end in a section anyway so i may aswell just elect for it, however, because i i was so tired i passed out and just woke up to my partner and our son,
What advice can you give me this time as I'm hoping its going to be so different.

Nesting

Anyone else's nesting out of control 😂😂

I've just spent 2.5 hours scrubbing/reorganising our bedroom and ensuite. Anyone would think I'm giving birth to Kim or Aggy the way my brain thinks this baby is going to judge me 😂😂

5 weeks since c section and belly problems

My belly gets so bloated/swollen as soon as I go to get dressed or go out for a short amount of time. I get so much discomfort and pain in it, all on the lower right side. I’m fed up of being so bloated and the over hang is disgusting

Emotional

Anybody else just feeling emotionally exhausted? I am an anxious mess, daily, and I overthink everything that I do and I just don’t know how much longer I can take the anxiety for! 😭

Mama’s with kiddos already

Hi there mama’s!
For those with other littles already here, what were your delivery times? I’m curious of trends on if some mama’s experienced earlier labor with their seconds versus their first.

I have a little guy that’ll be two in October, and he was born 40 weeks 5 days and only because I got induced. Likely would have baked longer if it were up to him! I’m now curious to see if baby girl will be the same or arrive sooner.
