Bed time

My baby is 15 weeks old. He obviously sleeps in the next to me at night. But what do yous do when putting your baby to bed? Do yous just take them up with you when you’re going to bed or do you put them to bed and watch on the camera ?

We’re 14.5 weeks and do a bedtime routine with bed around 7/8pm with a monitor!

Yeh we're nearly 13 weeks here and we've been doing bedtime around 7/7:30pm with the monitor on for a month or so now 😊

Baby stays with me until I go to sleep. All sleeps should be in the same room as you until 6 months+ it’s protective of SIDS. A monitor cannot replicate your presence x

I keep my little one with me and take her up when I go to bed for her last bottle which usually falls around 8/9 (I also go to bed latest 9pm so) 😂

Bedtime routine is between 7-8 . When he is asleep I sit in bed and read with a reading light and my husband plays on the steam deck. I'm normally asleep by 9

My girls 11 weeks i put her to bed about 8.30/9. We have a 45 min wind down routine and she takes between 15-30 mins to put herself to sleep while we monitor from nearby. Normally calls for us once to reasure we are close and to give her dummy back.

Childhood trauma

I had a pretty traumatic childhood, right through until I was living independently at 18.
Since having my first baby 4 months ago I’ve gone no contact with my mum, mainly because I haven’t heard from her so I’ve decided to completely cut ties.
I didn’t really process my childhood until I had my own child and I’m struggling processing it all and all the memories that constantly flood my brain. I can’t understand how two people can have a child and neglect them so badly. Bully them and make them feel awful about themselves. Get blind drunk and put the pressure of looking after young babies on other children.
Anyone else been through something similar? I’ve always brushed it off but now knowing how much I love my child and how I would do anything for their happiness, it’s hit me how little my parents really cared for me and only now it hurts so badly. My husband doesn’t understand and just says I should consider therapy and doesn’t get why I’m suddenly heart broken over a parent who has always been shit to me and nothing has changed. My friends all have good relationships with their parents.

A friend usually makes comments about what I buy for my baby

My stroller, cutlery sets, car seat etc
The most recent one, the scooter. The comment was something along the lines of “as if going on military operation”. She even noted the brand.
Ffs I got it from Amazon!

I’ve usually feel very weird when she does this because the tone is abit off I don’t know how to describe it.

I know I’ve not given enough info to post here but I just don’t know what to do about this said friend. We usually hang out as a group with other people and I enjoy those other people and she is generally okay except for when is she loudly noting my purchases.

Braxton hicks!

Sharing for awareness - 33 weeks and yesterday I had serious braxton hicks.

My entire belly was going rock hard and this was lasting upto 1 hour at a time. Personally, when my belly is so solid I find it hard to feel any movements inside too. So rang triage… ended up going in - had all mine and babys obs done on CTG. All absolutely fine🙏🏼. Midwife explained to me that braxton hick tightening can last a fairly long time (not always 1-2 minute bursts like i thought it was). Aslong as there is no pain alongside them then it is not generally cause for concern. 🤰🏻

Wasn’t pleasant either way and hoping for less stress and braxton hicks today!

12 month development

Hi guy, wanting some help/advice. I have a 12 month old son. He hasn’t such much yet only dada and up but with no intention/context. He hasn’t clapped/pointed yet. He does understand so much, waves, high fives and shakes hand. Any advice or if someone related to this before? Thank you so much. Worried mom here.

Leaving babies while awake

Looking for some reassurance that others do this and I'm not just an awful mum 😅

Baby is safe in their next to me looking quite content - I am watching on the camera having a bath... but can't bring myself to relax because I feel bad they're awake...
Any other mamas need a little me time?
Obviously any sign of upset and I'd be straight out!
