I’m feeling disappointed in myself and just in general that I’m still not feeling the love for this stage of our lives. My baby is 11 weeks and I don’t feel “in love”. I feel a sense of responsibility for him but he doesn’t fill me with joy when I look at him. Do others feel this way or is this postpartum depression?
I feel very frustrated with my feelings and do want to feel more positive I’m just struggling to.

Hi hun,
I’m so sorry to hear this.
To me this sounds like postpartum depression, if you can contact your gp or your health visitor at some point and express your concerns/feelings. Don’t forget they are there to help you.
I hope you get the help you need🤍

Motherhood is hard, dont be so hard on yourself.
I've had similar thoughts myself & when im having a bad day with baby, I've cried my heart out.
But then she'll do something cute, and it'll make me laugh.
Im a FTM to a 10 week old. It's been harder than I thought it would be. But also, the newborn stage isn't for everyone. Your feelings might grow when the baby is able to interact with you more...
But if you're struggling, please speak to a Dr, it doesn't mean you're a failure... we all need help, or even someone to vent to can make a world of difference.
You're doing good, mamma.
