Second Trimester Bra

Can anyone recommend a good bra that I can wear for the rest of my pregnancy. I’m currently 19w, every bra I own now has an underwire and if I wear it for more than 5mins I feel physically sick. Also the skin on my boobs dries out really quickly, I’ve tried lanolin but it’s still an issue.

Any tips?

I would definitely recommend switching to a soft, supportive maternity or nursing bra without underwire. Your body changes so much during pregnancy, and underwires can become really uncomfortable. I’ve heard good things about maternity bras from brands like M&S and Bravado. For the dry skin, you could try using a gentle moisturising cream or a pregnancy-safe oil regularly, especially after showering when your skin is still slightly damp. Hope you find something that helps 😊

Is it normal to NOT have leaking breasts while still producing breast milk?

I EBF yet I’ve never had a leak. Not once. Even a little bit. I had a c-section and it took a while to bring my milk in if that makes a difference? My milk comes out pretty instantly when baby feeds or I hand express but it just doesn’t at any other time - is that normal? Getting some weird FOMO hearing everyone else does 😅

Cold turkey with the dummy

My LO is 12 weeks tomorrow, he heavily relies on the dummy to fall asleep. We decided to take it away bc he was waking up multiple times in the night for his dummy when he spat it out or knocked it out his mouth. He sleeps until 4-5am so it was causing unnecessary wake ups.

I’ve been rocking, shhing, patting him to sleep using a muslin as a comforter. He woke up in the night and then slept with me as he woke up as soon as I put him down in his crib.

I’m hoping when he forgets about the dummy he won’t take as long to get to sleep as I feel like it’s taking longer bc he’s looking for the dummy?

Any advice if you’ve done it this young? Any advice on introducing self soothing?

Early babies?

I’m due end of August with my third baby and everyone keeps telling me how summer babies usually come early because of the heat. I also have a 1 year old I’m constantly running around after. I assumed my other two would come early and #1 was 4 days early, and #2 was on time, so I was mentally preparing for an on time/even late baby. But everyone has me paranoid!

Anyone else suspecting their August baby will come early?

Horrible mom

i just gotta get it off my chest. My son is 6m and for the first time today he fell…off my bed. We stopped leaving him on the bed alone once he could roll over, however we occasionally will set him down on the bed to get gas drops from our bathroom (literally 5 feet from the bed) and it has never been an issue as he is only there for 10-15 seconds and we’re still watching him the whole time. but today as i was putting him down for a nap he was mostly asleep but moving around cause of some gas and i laid him in the middle of the bed and as soon as i looked down at the medicine bottle to open it, i heard a loud thud. i immediately ran over and picked him up, he was crying and i checked him for bumps and bruises and there was none, i got him to stop crying and nursed him and he fell asleep for his nap. once i put him in the crib and left the room i just broke down sobbing. i feel horrible, i don’t know how he moved so quickly and i just feel like the worst mom in the world for putting him in a situation that he got hurt.

Easy newborn

Does anyone else feel like they just have a super easy newborn? People think im lying when I tell them🤣 my baby only wakes for 1 night feed now through the night, very rarely cries, is always smiling, loves going out and about, self soothes and will get himself to sleep in his cot. I am scared to have a second baby incase it’s not like this again lol

Emotional at milestones?

When my baby started daycare at 14 months I was very emotional. Probably cried everyday for at least a week (never in front of her though). Now she's moving up to the toddler room soon and I find myself feeling emotional again. How is time going by so quickly? One year of the toddler room, then one year of preschool room, then off to school. It brings tears to my eyes to think about. Can anyone else relate? My husband doesn't really understand and says I'm going to be a wreck when she starts school (he's probably right). 🥺 Motherhood truly feels like my heart is outside of my body.
