i just gotta get it off my chest. My son is 6m and for the first time today he fell…off my bed. We stopped leaving him on the bed alone once he could roll over, however we occasionally will set him down on the bed to get gas drops from our bathroom (literally 5 feet from the bed) and it has never been an issue as he is only there for 10-15 seconds and we’re still watching him the whole time. but today as i was putting him down for a nap he was mostly asleep but moving around cause of some gas and i laid him in the middle of the bed and as soon as i looked down at the medicine bottle to open it, i heard a loud thud. i immediately ran over and picked him up, he was crying and i checked him for bumps and bruises and there was none, i got him to stop crying and nursed him and he fell asleep for his nap. once i put him in the crib and left the room i just broke down sobbing. i feel horrible, i don’t know how he moved so quickly and i just feel like the worst mom in the world for putting him in a situation that he got hurt.

I know it feels like the end of the world but honestly, 90% of us have been there!
I turned around when my girl was 5 months to move her bouncer and she rolled off the bed within seconds! Just keep an eye for any concussion signs, otherwise they’re tougher than we think x

I know it doesn’t make it better in this moment, but he’s okay. And you will be too. It’s the worst feeling, but it’s also a right of passage lol

We have all been here dont beat yourself up over this please x
