I barely started to go back into the workforce after being a stay at home mom after 11 years. I lost myself and even til this day I’m still am. My husband thinks I should know what I like that’s fun for me but I don’t even know yet. I barely got to have a vacation for a month in July. I noticed I’ve found something like playing video games but then I find it especially around me that makes me feel like I’m wasting time or things I have to do. So meanwhile vacation, I have my kids at home as well. So they’ll here and there but trying not to complain. I feel bad because I do feel like I’m complaining about them not giving me time to play but I shouldn’t. Then my husband just comes home from work from a 6:30-2:30 m-f shift to an hour and half time for himself while I’m trying to get things done or dinner started. After he’s done with the hour and a hall to himself, he’ll just go straight to the couch and watch that tv. He thinks there’s no need to help clean because we have the kids there. Which I mean I’m sure I want my kids to help around the house but I feel like it shouldn’t just be the kids doing all the cleaning…my husband thinks I’m too sensitive and doesn’t like how I can’t more like “hey do you need a hug” or “honey, let’s take a walk”..my whole life I’ve been an introvert, nervous, shy person. He’s the total opposite of me. He likes to party and especially with wanting people over and just does whatever he wants without minding my feelings about things. He blamed me for ruining his visit when I was a stay at home mom with 3 kids at the time. I was so overwhelmed with 3 kids and an elderly to watch and take care of. Him and his mom didnt verify with me how she wasn’t staying at our place for her whole visit. So my husband thought I was too over dramatic for not being there for his grandma…he has adhd and uses that for his every reason of not doing things and drinks just to calm his nerves and adhd. That’s been a massive issue with us..
Am I just not trying enough to be the right person for him?
