Membrane sweep

Hiii, so I’m 37+3 weeks rn and if baby’s not here by 39 weeks planning on getting a sweep

I just wanna know if it hurts? What would you say it felt like? Idk I’m a little scared mostly just because I don’t know what it’ll feel like? And how the process actually goes?

Hi there, so funny I actually just had a sweep this morning at 39+1 weeks. Basically, if your cervix is "not ripe" and not dilated at least a little by then it will be less effective than if it is. With my second baby my cervix was not ready but my midwife kept trying 3 times in 1 week (from 39-40 weeks) to stimulate the cervix and I remember it hurting quite a lot, and also the whole one or two days after that. You also have spotting and blood tinged mucus after. After my third sweep I went into labor straight away then. This time round I was scared of the pain but my cervix was open and ripe to my surprise and the sweep was extremely quick so just uncomfortable and since then I have strong contractions that are getting morr painful and frequent so fingers crossed, I am in early labor 🤞🏼

Had our 4d scan and I can’t cope with the pictures we got this time 🥺 this is baby number 3 (surprise gender) and the best pictures we have had so far with all my pregnancies.

Still find it absolutely crazy that there’s a whole little person inside me 🥹

C section advice

Hey mums , I have a planned c section for next Friday but I was wondering if you went early and got an emergency section, How soon did you go from labour to getting the emergency section?

And if you did get an emergency was everyone rushing about? 🥺

It’s my biggest fear. 😧 had a planned section for my first and it was such a great experience I’m worried this will be different and I don’t get my section 😭

36 week scan

I have my 36+2 week scan on Friday , just curious what everyone’s babies were roughly weighing?

12 week scan

I had my scan, midwife said everything looks okay but their mouth looks a bit funny to me? It looks like they have an underbite or whatever. Is this normal?

Struggling at work

Is anyone else really struggling at work?

I work in an office job. I work from home a couple of days and from the office a couple of days but I just find in teams meetings I am really uncomfortable. I can’t concentrate on them. I can’t sit comfortably on my chair and listen to the conversation and I can’t properly input the meetings and then when I do I just get rid of hot and go red and then feel really embarrassed about it as well.

I’m only 28 weeks so we’ve got another 10 weeks to go before I finish and I just don’t know how I’ll manage that.

anyone else being in a similar situation?

Bump dropping/ lightening

34 weeks today and yesterday my bump dropped massively or lightening as they call it in pregnancy🤣🤣

Just wondering if anyone else has? I know it’s not a sign of labour it’s just baby getting deeper into my pelvic area 🤣
