That's not normal but in that case I would separate them so I could pretreat his clothes to release any trapped odor

use oxi clean for odors specifically.

My partners armpits don’t even smell when I put them INTO the wash. I 100% would not wash them together if I were you! Sounds like he needs to see a Dr asap and maybe soak his clothing. You can buy protective covers that go on the armpit part of the shirt to protect it from sweat too.

I never wash my clothes with my partners.
I infact do loads of laundry per individual in the home so that folding isn’t such a huge task for me.
I do towels, sheets and blankets all together in a load, but clothes I do separate loads per individual.

No I wash my clothes separately because I’m the one who usually smells. I use oxiclean, detergent, Clorox 2 and a laundry sanitizer plus the smelly scent beads.
I just brought it up to my husband I think he got offended 😔 I didn't say it mean.. I understand he sleeps in a truck so I'm not trying to judge him

I know what you mean! Mine's clothes smell fine once they're cleaned but beforehand they STANK because he tends to sweat a good bit running around all day at work. So I've stopped washing them with at least the kids' clothes. Don't want that stank on my babies' stuff!

No only coz he wears alot of darks, my clothes have a lot of white tops white jeans light blue jeans etc and our loads each take up a whole machine so not for the reasons you stated but we don’t. He has his load I have mine. Loads that have alot of smell/stain like the cloth diapers and the tea towels I add a scoop of stain remover powder/booster as well as detergent so try that.

My husband’s stuff only smells if he goes for swims and the clothes were sitting in his bag for a bit. Other than that, even if he sweats it's not offensive stink, just musky. I wash all of our clothes together, even our toddlers. We all use hypoallergenic detergent cause she has sensitive skin and she rubs up on us and everything so everything's done with her in mind. All of our laundry is fresh after a wash and it's unscented. Also I use white vinegar in every load too!

Oh also a general handy tip about odors in laundry! Splash distilled white vinegar over the load you put in before you run it at all!!
(Saves my life when I forgot to move the stuff from the washer to the dryer in the same day)
