Hi! I have a breastfed baby boy who’s due to start nursery mid Aug - initially for a couple of hours, hopefully progressing to 6-7h 3x per week by mid Sep. He’s nursing to sleep - almost impossible to put him down for a nap (still on two naps) without a breast unless it’s a car. He eats solids better for the last 4-5 weeks and I’m trying to reduce daytime nursing but it’s not easy, when he wants it he wants it ;)
I don’t want to stop breastfeeding yet, possibly not until he’s 2 but I’m worried about nursery! They say babies adapt but has anyone experience similar and can share? Do I just start the adaptation without making any changes at home and let him adjust over the weeks when he’s there?

I exclusively pumped for the first year my daughter was at nursery (she went when she turned 1) she dropped the bottles at nursery faster then at home. Even now shes 2 and she latches. She has milk at 7am and 7pm on my work days but on my day off she has boob when she was and thats usually 7,12, 5 and 7.... i plan to naturally wean

My baby went to nursery at 6 months, he did have one bottle a day before he went so he was familiar. He tended to not want a bottle at nursery but he would eat food there. Id say he adapted really quickly and then when id pick him up he'd always want to feed with me straight away lol.

My daughter actually goes to sleep faster with other people than with me. I've been back at work for 3 weeks and she sleeps so well with my FIL.
