He does some mornings of waking up with our baby and I do the rest but I don't give him leeway because we are both adults and making choices. I go to bed around 11.30/midnight knowing that our bubba wakes between 6-7am so we are both making choices. I am tired too but I just deal. It would be different if he started work early in the mornings or had really late finishes but it's all about priorities mate. For context our baby is 10 months and sleeps through the night from 8pm sometimes with an occasional wake up but mainly sleeps through.

lol I wouldn’t give my husband leeway either. You can’t pick and choose when you’re a parent. If the kid is up, you’re a parent. Let’s go buddy.

Could he have a sleep disorder? My husband has ADHD and delayed sleep phase disorder... No matter what he does it's near impossible for him to sleep before 3am. It certainly makes things more challenging...

Nah this shit pisses me offff 😂 my partner will go out and not come back until 3-6am and then tries to get away with staying in bed. We have a 3 yr and 3 month old. Like fuck do I let him do that. You made your bed you lie in it!

My husband is the same way and it drives me nuts. He always says he needs his alone time. But then he's miserable the next day. Makes me crazy. I hear your struggle girl

Same here. No leeway and no sympathy for being tired. Going to sleep at 2-4am on a consistent basis is a choice. I tell him this.

My husband has similar issues and he can not wind down until around 1-2am and he has ADHD. I still do not give him leeway per say as he still has responsibilities.
Some people needs to be worked WITH and if he struggles with going to bed and you go to bed a fairly normal time I would work with it by going - early shifts are yours and late are his. What do you except him to do, that he changes his sleep rhythm? Not everyone can do that unfortunately
A relationship will not have 50/50 and especially not with a child. The first few years is likely to be more mom-oriented.
No you'renot the AH but; Sleep gone is already in the work description as a parent and causing argument over who got most sleep during the first few years of your childs life is such a minor thing. I hope you guys find a way that works for you both
All love and support

Nah, he needs to grow up and sort his priorities! I have a very similar man 😩
