Good morning everyone, I’m a first time mom to be, due Jan 29th. I’ll be 13 weeks tomorrow. I just had my second sonogram beginning of my second trimester. I’ve been feeling very depressed and kind of detached from my womb/baby. I’m not sure if it’s because of resent the father or myself for how things turned out the way it did before the baby is even born. I already made a choice not abort. But I’m struggling to be happy about this. I don’t know how to be. My family and friends are all excited and gleaning with joy but there’s no excitement in me. Inside I want to scream. I feel numb. And in a way I feel love bombed and cheated out of a happy pregnancy. I’m very upset with myself because I feel like my baby will grow up without a father because I have to protect my peace. I found out I’m the “other” woman, I’m basically a secret. So I feel like my pregnancy is based on lies instead of real love. And it’s killing me to pretend I’m happy when I’m truly not. I know the baby can feel everything I feel. I don’t know what to do, where to go or who to talk to. Church is very judgemental I wouldn’t dare say what I’m truly going through, and family can be very hypocritical and overprotective given the circumstances. All I know is I’m not bringing this baby into a two parent home like I thought I would. And I honestly just feel like another statistic. I’m adding to the generational curse instead of breaking it.

It’s okay mama, I suffered with this same feeling bring my 3rd child into a broken home. Right now you’re just grieving the life you wish you could have had for your baby, and that shows that you do care for it. It can also be hard as a first time mom to feel a connection this early but once you start seeing a bump and feeling movement I’m sure you’ll feel differently.

Praying for you. I pray everything works in your and your child’s favor in Jesus name.

It's okay to be Mama at this time feeling like you are not attached to the womb this is completely normal even in my 9th month of pregnancy I don't feel too much connected but after birth when I first saw my baby I felt like I never loved anyone more than her so you soon feel attached to your baby
