Administering calpol

My baby has just had his 8 week jabs and I have tried to give him calpol via syringe but he has spit/dribbled it all out. Any advice on administering it?

They say to put it in the side of their mouth so they’re more likely to swallow more. I also give baby her dummy straight after to get her to not spit it out. Hope this helps xx

lie then as if your giving a bottle, side of mouth inside cheek and tiny tiny bits at a time. My baby hated calpol and kept spitting it out. Mine isn’t keen on dummy unless it’s his terms so i was offering some boob or bottle to ‘wash it down’ each dose took about 10 mins to give 🤣

i put it in the teat of the bottle and mix it with a small amount of milk like only enough to fill the teat then gave him fresh bottle of milk to wash it down

Side of mouth in small shots, blow on their face immediately after or as above give them their dummy if they take on to encourage swallowing x

Just a spoon is easier

Bottle teat always worked for us now he takes it like a champ and holds the syringe himself

Tiny bits at a time, side of the mouth and tbh sometimes I have to just hold him so his neck is back a bit like he’s having a bottle x

Car seat

I know the car seat I want, but I don’t have the money to afford it at this moment. Anybody know how I can get a car seat that is safe and the one I want for a good offer?

Chunky thigh baby mamas (&papa's)

My 4 week old LO has a juicy pair of thighs, any nappies or clothes around thighs are leaving a red imprint

Nappy size is not ready to size up yet as would be way too baggy, only just sized up to size 2 (using pampers as got loads on offer)

And tips or advice?have seen someone mentioned putting nappy cream / petroleum jelly on the thighs as barrier from rubbing

Sleeping past 5 am

Please help my little one is nearly 8 months old and it doesn’t matter what time she goes to bed she always wakes between 5 and 6 am and won’t go back to sleep till between 9 and 10

Edit: she goes to bed between 8 and 10 we do a dinner at 5 and a bottle at half 7. Naps wise I’m lucky if she will nap for more than half hour at a time and if she does 3 naps I’m lucky most of the time it’s just 2 naps a day

4 month sleep regression

How are we actually surviving and what do we even do?!! I’m at my wits end of a week of frequent wake ups, false starts, being dead asleep and then being put down and waking and starting the cycle all over again!! Since two weeks old she’s slept with only one wake up at 5am so I am DONE IN!! Do we just ride this out of what the hell do we actually do to solve this? It’s HELL

Baby not feeding

I have a 4 almost 5 month old and recently he’s been so off his bottles sometimes going 5 hours between feeds and still not finishing them. Yesterday he had a feed at 2 and waited till 9 before he would have another then only had 3 ounce. He is normally up 2-3 times in the night but last night he woke once and again wouldn’t take a bottle, I’ve tried him again this morning and still nothing. Is this a normal developmental stage? I’m worried he will be dehydrated or not getting enough nutrients. He normally has 6 ounce every 3 hours and has always been such a good eater so this is not normal for him at all.

18 month regression - sleep!😭😭😭

Please tell me others are going through this regression stage?!🥱🥱

My daughter used to sleep through 7:45-6-6:30 but now the past 2-3 weeks, it’s been at least 3-5 wake ups, throwing her dummies around everywhere, smacking both me and my partner, screaming / crying hysterically and LOUD for more than 2 hours, won’t self settle but also won’t settle on either me or my partner.

We went away for the week and she slept 1 night 10:45pm - 2:56am and was wide awake refusing to sleep we didn’t give in she stayed in her cot, but was awake the whole time 😭😭

How is everyone coping with this phase? As I’m STRUGGLING.

Most days I’m feeling so poorly because off how tired and drained I am. I have no one to really help. My partner is only home Friday - Sunday due to his job. So majority off the time I’m solo parenting🥱😴

One tired mumma over here 😴😢
