What are people's thoughts on contraception. I honestly hate the fact it has to be me that has to think about it an do something. Any advice on different types?

Contraception really changes a woman's body. But if you make the decision to get on it. I would recommend the IUD. Ive had mine 7 years. No problems what so ever. No periods or cramps. I guess I did have cramping the first two weeks after it was put in. But your body needs time to adjust to a new foreign object. I have the mirena. Also no unplanned pregnancies.

I decided against contraceptions because I tried IUD and my body pushed it away. I can not stick on the pill because I am rubbish with routines that way. The implant was fine until the last year where I bled every other week and became an absolute monster.
So me and husband agreed that no more for me. Condoms until we are done with kids and then he'll get the snip 🙃

I wouldn't want or expect my husband to get a vasectomy, nor would I go on hormonal contraception, both options wreak havoc with hormones and can come with nasty side effects. Natural family planning/tracking your cycle and condoms are more than adequate if done accurately. We can only get pregnant for around 7 days in the month😊

I just had this conversation with my gyny. My body doesn't handle them well, so she gave me a referral for my husband to get snipped. Now it is just convincing him and finding the time to get it done.

My husband told the doc he wants a vasectomy and was told he needs to wait a year... I'm back on the pill for now

I hate the way they make me feel. I’ve tried several different ones and just doesn’t work well for me. My husband offered for us to use condoms until he can get in to get snipped. So that’s our plan for once I’m on my feet after having this baby. But if your planning on taking a pill the non hormonal ones worked best for me slynd was the one that made me feel the most normal.

I love the iud. No periods!

I recommend the IUD. Ive had no problems with mine and no periods either. Going on 8 years with it

I am on the combined pill. Was for over 10 years before my first and straight back on it after my second and last baby. I know a lot of women struggle with it but I personally struggled more without it. Unfortunately it is hard to tell what would work best for you until you try it as everyone is different.
