Does anyone else have moments with their emergency c-section that provides random stresses?
I was under GA for the section so I struggle with the fact that I wasn’t awake for my baby’s birth.
He was just sick in his bed, typically just before the baby monitor died 🙄, so I didn’t see it until just after it happened. It’s really bothered me that I wasn’t there for him when he was sick and I just feel a bit stressed/out of funk now.
My husband is great with my feelings etc but just wondered if there was anyone else with the same feelings as it would be great to have fellow people to talk to who get my feelings.

I was the same. Emergency c-section than had to be put under general anaesthetic. I hate the fact I wasn't there when she was born and it makes me so sad still now and she's 3 in September.

Oh my gosh yes!!! I also had one, I didn’t have GA but they had to drug me because I was losing it (crying and I couldn’t stand the pressure of them cutting me) and I also feel guilty for not being awake to see my baby being born, my husband was also not able to be in the OR with me. Sometimes those flashbacks just come so strong and I relive the stress and trauma of it all 😭

I still sometimes have flashbacks of me begging them not to put me under and that I wanted to be awake while crying. It took them 7 attempts to get my spinal in.

Constantly, I wrote a book about this because I felt insane lol
