VBAC or C Section?

I had planned on a home birth with a midwife. I labored at home for 36 hours, and after 7 hours of pushing, we finally transferred to a hospital and we ended up with an emergency c section. Thankfully all was okay. Though it was the Last thing I thought would happen. The hospital was a surprisingly positive experience given the circumstances… I think there’s a lil residual trauma still there around the ordeal. As we want to have another, I’d be curious what others chose to do. Was the VBAC healing and worth it? Or how was a second c section? What did it do to your scar? Is it worse in any ways?

I find myself thinking about this decision often so would appreciate some insights.

Ive had 2 VBACs and i love them. I healed way quicker. I remember after my first I was up walking around with very little pain. I think my cramping from uterine contractions was worse than my tearing.
However, my sister ended up having a second csection but planned the second time around and she said it was a way better experience than the emergency csection. She healed better the planned csection too.

I went the VBAC route because I had a horrible labor and had a uterine infection as well. I also couldn't fathom having to take care of a toddler and newborn after a csection. Like how are you supposed to lift them or hold them. I literally couldn't figure it out. I lifted my toddler too early after my VBAC and regretted it, I couldn't have imagined with a csection.

Personally, my c section was a way easier recovery than my vaginal delivery. I also felt like I bonded easier with my c section baby because I wasn't as exhausted as I was after a full labor. Everyone's experiences are different, but I will be opting for a repeat c section with my current pregnancy.

Plus size pregnancy

Hi ladies,

Im a plus size and I’m currently 15.5 weeks pregnant, I’m just wondering at how many weeks did you feel your baby move with being plus size…
Just curious to see, as I’m being told with being plus size I won’t feel my baby at 24 weeks plus.

Need help with baby name - maybe changing the name.

My boyfriend and I took awhile to name our baby girl, it was hard because he didn’t like my first choice and I didn’t like his. We ended up finding one that we both kinda liked and ended up naming her Brianne and call her Bri (we really like the name Bri). Now we are struggling thinking that name isn’t our favourite- we found another we like (Norah) but do we go through the process of changing her name to Norah (a name we both love) or finding another formal name like Aubrie so we still call her Bri? I struggle because everyone around now knows her as Bri.
Sorry so confusing- we are both indecisive people. Any suggestions would help!

Tubal ligation

I am confident this is my last pregnancy. 4 is more then enough. However a tubal ligation is a major surgery and dont really want to do that. But im thinking if I have to have a c section, could they do it at the same time?
