Hi everyone. I've been booked in for a C-section. It wasn't really what I wanted, but all the other choices have been taken away.
I'm worried most about the recovery.
Does anyone have any good recovery tips or recommendations?

Try avoid wearing anythibg tight around the waist, I lived in loose joggers for like 2 weeks
Once the first 10 days are over it’s pretty smoothe sailing from there

If you like watching vlogs. Liana Jade posted some good content after having a c section with her second child. She compared it to the emergency section she had with her first too and described how different the two experiences were. She said the elective section was really calm, and much easier to recover from than the emergency one and way easier than she expected.
Give yourself grace, you need time to recover from birth regardless of how baby comes out🫶🏻

I ended up having an emergency C-Section and I’m kind of happy I did.. it was really fast and recovery is not too bad if you are sensible… Friday mum pants are great post partum… no fadfing with pads etc…
Get a big water bottle so you don’t have to keep getting up and down and maybe some breakfast bars etc for the bedside cabinet!
Make sure you move around a little and don’t just sit in bed for two weeks! Even going up and down the stairs every other hour or move about the bedroom.
Protect your mental health, if you feel like you’re going insane being sat around give someone a call.
Take the time to enjoy all the cuddles and skin to skin you can xx

I had an excellent recovery, to be honest. I'm not trying to tell anyone what they should do, but if I ever had another baby, I'd choose a C-section again without any regrets. That said, I was incredibly lucky to have so much support from my family and my partner, and I truly believe that played a huge part in my recovery as well. The worst part was having the catheter in on the first day at the hospital and having to get up and walk. But little by little, everything got better. I didn't experience any pain during my recovery. I wore comfortable, loose-fitting clothes, walked around the house at my own pace, and gradually became more active. I didn't have any complications with my C-section scar

I had a c section and honestly recovery wasn’t that bad, don’t move too fast as it will hurt. I was scared and asked to be put to sleep during the procedure (she was breech)
But my partner convinced me to stay awake and I’m so happy I did! If there’s a Sainsbury’s near you they had some underwear that goes over your stomach (they were so comfy), avoid underwear that doesn’t go over your tummy as it can agitate your scar! Hope you have a speedy recovering and a healthy lil bean 💖
