My baby is 7 weeks old and I’ve been exclusively breastfeeding. I recently got s pump and in rare situations want to give him expressed milk in a bottle but worrier it’ll firstly mess with my supply and secondly, baby will develop bottle preference. Any experience with this? Any tips and guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I got Lansinoh bottles as apparently one of the best for avoiding nipple confusion. I nursed my baby in the day and bottle fed her at night (because she took so long and was so fussy on the boob and I value my sleep and sanity!) And never had an issue with the combi feeding approach! It also shouldn't really mess with your supply as long as you don't over pump, just do short pumping session as often as you want the expressed milk. Don't fill your freezer up with bags and bags, and obviously the more you pump, the more oversupply you'll have. X

Thank you, Imogen. That’s really helpful. Sorry might be silly question but how do you navigate it at night. Take the frozen expressed milk, run under warm water and bottle? Or prefer the bottles and keep them in the fridge?
