Baby falling off the bed

The social services referral seems very extreme. Typically this would just be a general safeguarding log which is just procedure. How old is your little one? It happened little one twice, once the same situation and another I was hanging some clothes up next to the bed. Its always best to get them checked out but you aren’t the first mum this has happened to and you won’t be the last!

I’ve worked at 111 in the past, and they have to do a safeguarding. Remember they don’t know you and their priority is to keep babies safe, as unfortunately there are some other babies out there who is getting abused 😢 there’s nothing to worry about in this regard, its just a procedure really.
My friend’s had the exact same situation, social services rang them asking a few questions and that was about it.. A&E will probably do an internal review aswell anyway to note he is ok!

My son fell off the bed when he was around 1.5 years old. He literally ninja jumped over my legs on his sleep and somehow bumped his chin. He needed it glued back together. I remember telling the hospital he fell off the bed but maybe didn't mention cosleeping. They never made any referrals though.

That sounds excessive from 111. I rang them a week ago for advice after my lad feel off the dining table (I was changing his nappy on there due to a bad back).

No mention of social services. So if they did safeguard to social services I wasn't made aware nor has anyone contacted me. I was advised I take him to GP after they did their series of questions but gp said a&e.

A&E said he was fine.

Watch for extreme sleepiness, repeated vomiting, and unusual changes in behavior. Most babies who cry right away and act normal shortly after are okay, but potential head injuries need careful monitoring.
