Braxton Hicks vs Actual Contractions

Is it just me or is anyone else getting so stressed out about trying to work out if they’re just experiencing braxton hicks contractions/false contractions versus actual contractions? 🥲

I’ve had quite intense pain and aching in my lower back that’s come and gone since I woke up this morning, and the sensation of it is making me want to cry, but I’m stressing myself out more trying to figure out if I need to lock in and be ready for active labour to start soon or if I’m just being dramatic 😂

I would just time them for the next hour or two and go from there maybe?

Also, ive heard if you have a bath and it's not real then they should ease up but if it is real they will get worse so could try that?

I got woken up at 3.30am this morning from a dull ache near my rectum that kept coming and going for 5 mins despite changing positions, then pains from my lower back to my front…

I was not having any of it 😂 I’ve been here before and would be like it on and off for a week.
My c-section is Monday so she can just wait now.

I had false labour for about 12 hours on Monday and it drove me crazy! At one point they were 3 mins apart but the pain wasn’t as intense as I remember for proper contractions so I didn’t contact triage. I ended up going to bed and in the morning I was still having tightenings every 10 mins. I had a midwife appointment that morning and she felt my tummy when it went hard and she thought I would have the baby very soon. Then of course, the tightenings completely stopped and here I am still very much pregnant 🙄😅 x

Antidepressants

Am I being selfish for remaining on my fluoxetine during pregnancy. I’m currently 15 weeks pregnant and getting lots of comments regarding coming off my antidepressants for the baby’s sake.

i feel as my nearly 8 month old is way too advanced, shes standing on her own, drinking from a straw bottle, has 4 teeth, is beginning to talk, has been saying mama and dad since 6 months, crawling, sitting independently also since 5months

is this a good thing or not?

Baby falling off the bed

I feel terrible this morning my baby fell off the bed we never bed share but he would not sleep in his crib and I was exhausted so I let him sleep on the bed with me and this morning he rolled off whilst I was asleep I woke up immediately and he was crying and settled pretty quickly. I rang 111 just to check what I needed to do as I was terrified and they told me they have to make a referral to social services as protocol and I’m taking him to a&e to get him checked he seems fine he’s happy playing with his toys alert etc no signs of injury but has anyone else had this situation before?
I’m crying my eyes out I can’t believe this has happened and I feel so guilty any advice from anyone having a similar situation would be appreciated

How are you having sex when you cosleep?

I have an 18mo who for the last 3 months has decided she will only cosleep with me and contact nap. We are trying for our second baby but now I don't know when we can have sex? I can't slip away at night as she wakes every sleep cycle looking for me. She doesn't independently play so I can't slip away in the day. Plus I don't like the thought of having to watch my baby playing on a monitor whilst having sex during the day.

Any tips?
How are all my cosleeping mamas getting some????

Blowout stains?!

Any recommendations for how to get out blow out stains? Maybe TMI but I’m struggling to get the bright yellow colour out and my baby has so many outfits that are stained. I try to rinse with cold water right away and use a stain remover spray, I don’t want to run the washing machine for one item of clothing. Any tips would be appreciated!

‘It’ll get better’

Been having a hard few days with my little one and he’s started being very sicky after feeds which was something he only did occasionally before. He is 4 weeks and seems suddenly really fussy! I’m sleep deprived and all everyone keeps saying is “ it gets better” - which I’m sure it does but does anyone else find that really unhelpful when you’re in the newborn trenches and feeling hopeless 🤣 I know people mean well!
