Im sorry this is happening to you, I truly hope he just needed to cool down and get some space. Men don’t regulate their emotions like woman do, they tend to run away from the noise. Give him time to cool down tonight, and message him in the morning explaining his role is important to your children, and if you guys could please possibly give it one more try. Try not to stress out tonight on over thinking this, what’s meant to be will be. I know this sounds easier said than done, but maybe put a Disney movie on and relax with your babies just for tonight and see where everything is tomorrow.
