I work in an ALN school, im off now for 6 weeks, we have spent last week potty training and will carry on this week too along eith going out and doing things, i want to send my son to nursery a couple of times in the summer holidays so I can have some time to unwind, do bits round the house and go to doctors appointment on my own, my husband is against me sending him in even just for a couple of days because im off, is anyone else in my position? 😖

Does your son go to nursery already when you're at work? If so, it's good to keep them in a routine anyway otherwise he will be unsettled when he goes back to nursery. You deserve to have some days to yourself too

My children go to nursery whilst I’m off for the holidays, not every day like they normally would but 2 or 3 days a week. My son starts school in Sept so will definitely miss having a bit of time to get things done for myself/house.

I'm a teacher and my little one is still going into nursery 3 days a week except when I'm taking him away for a few days. I need those days to tidy the house and organise my mind! He likes it and the routine seems to help him so it works for him too.

I assume your still paying for those hours so I’d keep sending him.

I'm not in your position but I will be soon as I have a year off work. I will be sending my toddler to nursery part time during this time.
- It's important for her to be able to socialise.
- I can't stimulate her all the time, whereas nursery can.
- And I just need me time. Looking after a child 24/7 is tiring
