No med vs meds

First pregnancy I had epi, gas and air.

I'm thinking this time to go natural just to see what it's like. But I'm unsure. How painful is it without meds?

What are you doing?

First pregnancy he had an eviction notice, this one I am hoping for a VBAC with minimal meds (hopefully) but am at peace if I need another C-Section or need meds for labour

First pregnancy I had to be induced and caved into an epidural. Hoping for gas and air at most this time round but I'm ok if I need more or a C-section this time round

Honestly just see how you go - there’s no need to decide in advance whether you’ll have drugs or not. There are lots of things you can do to try and minimise the need i.e. tens machine, labour comb, counter pressure etc but ultimately if you decide on the day that you’re not coping you can see what your options are. Every woman has a different pain threshold and every labour / birth will progress in different stages.

For me the epidural didn’t really work, it was positioned in a way so that I still had pain on one side and was immobile on the other. I’ll try without pain medication (opting for a home birth) but definitely open to transferring to the hospital if it becomes too much :)

I’m 39 weeks and almost 3 days. I am just now starting to pack my hospital bag tonight lol 😂😂. I’m so last minute but I figured he wasn’t gone come early so I guess it worked out for me.

Newborn Trenches

I’m only 2 days postpartum and I held my baby crying at 4am because my anxiety is killing me! Everything worries me and I just wanna be the best mom that I can be. What’s some advice or tips you wish you knew in the first few weeks when you had your baby?

Pressure - not quite 37 weeks!

I’m due my third (I’ll be 37 weeks on Tuesday) and I was induced around 40 weeks with both of my children. I’ve been to triage today for RFM but she was absolutely fine! And she has since been SUPER active.

But this evening I’ve got a pressure/weight/bruised feeling right along my knicker line, at the bottom of my bump. It’s noticeably stronger when standing or sitting upright.

Any ideas?

Anxiety and negative thoughts

This is going to sound so bad. But I’m not even excited about the pregnancy anymore. Please don’t judge me

I could use someone to talk to 🥹🥹🥹😭😭😭

How is everyone coping in the “could it be today?” Phase?!

I’m 38+1 and have now been on maternity leave for the last week - nesting is taking up most of my time but when I’m trying to relax, all I’m thinking is “omg what if I go into labour today” anyone else?! 🤣
