How does the nursery funding work? Is it 15 or 30 free hours? I am currently self employed and getting maternity allowance until December 2026.
My daughter was born on 2nd April, so does this mean we will have to wait until April 1st to start the new term, I've heard it's either January 1st, April 1st or September 1st?
Thanks in advance!

It's from 9 months! So my LG was born in Feb, we qualify the term after she turns 9 months so Jan 2027 we are able to put her in and claim! Have to have everything submitted before the end of Dec though x

From 9 months you will be able to apply for the 30 funded hours from the government, these can be used the term after their 9 month birthday so in your case you could use the 30 funded hours from April 2027. It will depend on how the nursery offers the funded hours as to whether you can use these over the term time or stretched over more weeks of the year🙈
