Pacifiers? I didn’t want to start since I don’t want her to stay dependent on it.

I’ve managed to not used one so far but it’s getting hard not too since the four month sleep regression has started and my husband is against it…

Helps prevents SIDS.
Gives then comfort.

Go for it.

we used them for the first couple months for a bunch of reasons eg SIDS prevention, calming when being placed in the pram, but she’s not fussed anymore. she actually makes a face like 😖 when she feels the silicone in her mouth and spits it out

I did with all 3 of my girls. My oldest was the hardest to wean. That is only because her twin sisters were born when she was 15mnths. I had her off the paci and my mom helped us thr week before twins came and week after. She gave my oldest a paci. So.

My kids both didn’t get into them after they were introduced- they were also breast fed and so I don’t think pacifiers appealed to them- my youngest son kinda chewed on the side of one for awhile but it was a early teething thing so I just got him a chewy when I noticed.

I don’t see why not if the baby wants one. My first loved his dummy and second refused it completely. Why would the husband be against it? Any logical reason?

We never used one and it's fine.

We never used one. Frankly didn't want to use one and both girls are fine.

I did for one month and then removed it. He doesn’t suck his thumb and he doesn’t want one!! Someone I know uses it with their baby and their teeth/jaw don’t look so good (going on for 14 months). We didn’t care to use one for SIDS bc we had the owlet sock.

Prevents SIDs and it helps with sleep. I only use it to get them to sleep or when they’re sick or teething through the day. It helps her stay calm and helps her not nurse to sleep.

Pacifiers are a great option. It depends on the baby though. Mine won’t really take it. Very rarely but when he does it’s such a relief because it soothes him.

Next to me recommendations

I'm about to have my third, and I've never got on with our next to me crib. I'm looking for one where you can take the side completely down (not just halfway) so it's almost like an extension of our bed. Does that exist?!

Breastfeeding

Hi guys, It’s day 5 for us and I’m really struggling with this whole breastfeeding situation.

The latching, the constant having to get your breast out to feed, and feeling like my body is no longer really mine… I feel awful saying it, but right now I honestly just feel like a cow!

Then there’s the constant “be careful what you eat because you’re breastfeeding” comments from people, which are stressing me out even more. I’m already overthinking whether everything I eat is going to make baby gassy or uncomfortable.

I know we’re only 5 days in and everything is still so new, but does it get easier? Did anyone else feel like this at the beginning? And how much attention do you actually pay to what you eat while breastfeeding?

Bath time!

How often do I bath my 6 nearly 7 week old?
I’ve been bathing her everyday for the past couple of days as she’s been really fussy and it relaxes her, but I’m not sure I’m bathing her too often.

Bed time

My daughter is 15 months old & I started putting her in her own cot last night in her room as we have been co sleeping for a while. I got her to sleep in my bed then transferred her to her room, she lasted till around 1:30/2 but then wouldn’t settle again so had to get back in my bed. Has anyone got any tips to help her settle more?
I was thinking of changing her cot into a toddler bed.
Thankyou ! ❤️
