I might come off as ungrateful or like im not cut out for motherhood with this one but why don't we warn each other beforehand about this emotional situation? I wish someone had briefed me about how someday i'll be watching my son sleep and ill break down crying because of how intense the feeling of admiration is, and how love this big is heavy and feels a little too much like grief. it would have been nice to know that i would be so consumed with this love that has nowhere to go. there's no little pamphlet explaining how "you'll never know another love like it" genuinely means that it will overflow from you and your child and there will be nowhere else for it to go, and it will feel so intense and like too much but in the most beautiful way.
anyway, i think we should try and find a better way to articulate just how intense that feeling can be, so other new moms don't feel insane when they join the club

I don't know, I think we have all heard about how much love you will have for your children so it's not news to me š but I guess feeling it is different to the hypothetical situation

I don't think I've ever experienced this with my child. I've had unhealthy relationships where I feel so much love it's almost overwhelming and makes me anxious, but not with my child.
That sounds uncomfortable. And anxious. Maybe I'm misunderstanding

I totally get you. I look at my daughter sometimes and feel like I could burst!
She's 1 and I find it really emotional to look back at her newborn photos. X

And watching them grown older is a beautiful and also painful to me as each year that passes you get a new version of your tiny human growing into their own person and your love for them stay the same but they become more independent my oldest is 17 and it is sometimes hard for me to look back on our amazing memories of her being small she will always be my baby but she is grown up and there's times I sit and thing god I wish I could go back for a day and just relive it all over again. It really is an intense feeling how much you love your babies ā¤ļø knowing they'll all grow and have their own lives one day hurts my heart

I feel like everyone talks about it. Itās just usually followed with a ābutā¦ā
āI love my kids BUT Iām exhaustedā š
Iāve found that I feel this way. Took us years to have our son, miscarriages, failed fertility treatments etc.
Every day I wake up so grateful that Iām a mom. That this is my life. And itās perfect. I do just watch him play and tear up occasionally. Like what do you mean I get to be his mom? Forever? I am so lucky. For me thereās no but. I just love my kid. I feel like I was made to be a mom. I didnāt lose myself in motherhood, I found myself.
Sometimes I wonder how itās been so easy. Sometimes it doesnāt feel real lol. Like itās all a dream and somebody is going to wake me up.

Because you need to experience it to be able to understand it. Also. If you are not a mum and you are listening to this you probably would think the other person is insane or going through some kind of mental breakdown.

They say that god sends you a son to know what true love is and will heal what is broken in side of you and this is so true I love my son so much he is 16months old and I think I need him more then he needs me so this feeling your feeling is normal
