Currently 39 weeks 2 days. Baby does not seem to be ready to come out. Have not experienced any Braxton hicks or any contractions whatsoever… I spoke with my doctor and he said I could elect an induction this week.. or if she isn’t after 40weeks 3days they will conduct the induction no if and or buts.. I want her out but I feel selfish..

I chose to have a c section at 39 weeks and 4 days. It's all up to you

With my first, i was induced at exactly 40 weeks on her due date. I also dealt with guilt and feeling selfish, but i just couldnt go any longer. The last month or so were so hard on me, partly because i was still working full time 😅

I've been induced at 37 and then 38 weeks (for medical reasons) and I remember telling my husband before we knew when I'd be induced with the second that I can't imagine going to 40 weeks. That extra week this time was so rough. I applaud people who have to go that long. Personally I'd take the induction if they are offering it.

Do you have any complications? This seems so strange to me I’m in the uk and with my son (no complications) they didn’t want to book me in until i was 41+5 and my daughter they wouldn’t even entertain the idea until 39weeks (ended up being booked for 39+2) and thats with 4 episodes of reduced movement, too much fluid and a tail off in growth. If there’s no complications then personally i would wait a decent amount longer than what they’re saying x
