My baby was primarily chest fed but got 1-2 bottles a day. At 12 weeks she started refusing bottles, when we try she just plays with it/gags/or screams. We’ve tried having different people feed her, different bottles, different flows of nipples, different temperature of the milk, fresh milk versus refrigerated, scalding the milk, formula, movement while feeding, and different positions and nothing works. I have to go back to work in 4 weeks. My husband will take over for 6 weeks and then she’ll go to daycare. I do not have the option of extending leave and can’t just have my husband bring her to work to feed. I’m already anxious about leaving her but this is making it worse. Has anyone been able to resolve this issue? Are they just going to have a hard couple days and then she’ll get with it?

What age will she be when you go back to work? Mine was 6 months and he took a sippy cup and never took a bottle. You can teach them easily how to use a straw if you look up videos.

My baby is 8 weeks old and has refused the bottle from the start. I have also tried everything above. If anything has any other tips that would be great.

this happened to us around this exact same age!!! i can’t say i necessarily have a solution but he did just start taking it randomly again at one point. i kind of gave in and let him have only boob for awhile and then one day i was out and dad got him to take a bottle.
