Advice needed please 🙏🏻 (I’m desperate 🫠)

My sweet girl is a little over nine months, I’m suddenly really struggling and dreading naps and bed time. It is such a battle, previously she would feed to sleep and be transferred to her cot easy peasy. Now the transfer is proving difficult and she screams the house down once placed down and I have to try many, many times. She’s fighting naps too (just having 2 a day now)
I’m back to work a couple days a week, shortly upping to 4 days. I feel like my battery is flat. I had finally got an ounce of personality back and now I’m back in survival mode all over again. I’m treading on eggshells as she seems so unpredictable. Crying in the pram after short periods, suncream is a big deal etc.
Any advice on how to navigate this phase or tips in what I could be doing differently. I’m starting to feel like I’m doing a bad job and hugely doubting my capability.
Ty in advance from a very worn down Mumma 🪫

My girl has just turned 9 months around a week ago and we are going through some sort of sleep regression it’s really really tough!! fighting naps waking every hour through the night etc.
9 months they should have transitioned from 3 naps to 2 anyway. What are your wake windows like between naps? Sometimes it’s can become a fight if over tired or under tired? I use the huckleberry app and have done for a while it’s pretty bang on in terms of nap times etc she always seems to go around the time it suggests although not through this regression 😩.

I feel like because they are going through a lot with crawling learning to stand etc it’s pretty normal but doesn’t make it easier for us!

I could have written this myself my son is 9 and a half months and I feel completely in the trenches lately and the sleep deprivation is definitely affecting my mental health! So no advice but nice to know I’m not the only one going through it x

so, I will always feed the bottle
and put my little one ( 9month) down- I will not go back in after that. I may sound cruel but I also have a 3 year old who i did exactly the same with. he will just get in bed and shout bye mommy- I personally dont think it damages them in anyway, if anything it allows them to self soothe.
in terms of sun cream and things like that and like nappy changes etc i just get hold of him, pin down and do it. they don't understand but i explain why I'm doing it anyway as they will grasp it one day.

Just hang on in their- it changes every 6 weeks i swear, todays problem will be completely forgotten about in a matter of weeks :) I am sure your doing an amazing job!

Stopping sterilising

My son is almost 5 months and has just started solid foods (I know it’s early but we were having problems with CMPA and trapped gas so it seemed like the best way to help him) I don’t sterilise his spoons, bowls and plates, they just get washed with hot soapy water. Can I stop sterilising his bottles too? Or should I be sterilising his plates and things? He goes swimming every week and ends up with pool water in his mouth and is constantly putting toys and his hands in his mouth it just seems pointless to me🤷🏻‍♀️ when did everyone else stop?

This feeling

I might come off as ungrateful or like im not cut out for motherhood with this one but why don't we warn each other beforehand about this emotional situation? I wish someone had briefed me about how someday i'll be watching my son sleep and ill break down crying because of how intense the feeling of admiration is, and how love this big is heavy and feels a little too much like grief. it would have been nice to know that i would be so consumed with this love that has nowhere to go. there's no little pamphlet explaining how "you'll never know another love like it" genuinely means that it will overflow from you and your child and there will be nowhere else for it to go, and it will feel so intense and like too much but in the most beautiful way.
anyway, i think we should try and find a better way to articulate just how intense that feeling can be, so other new moms don't feel insane when they join the club

Contact naps

VERY sensitive 5mo will ONLY contact nap. Which is usually fine except when we’re in the car. She will become extremely disregulated and scream really really badly, even if my husbands driving and I’m in the back with her singing, holding her hand etc. It means we absolutely cannot drive anywhere as wake windows are still around 2h. Even worse when I’m driving because I feel like I can’t safely concentrate on the road with how intense the screaming is.

I’ve already tried to reduce contact naps for the past week trying everything. She has finally napped in her pram the last 2 days for the first nap (takes ages and a real struggle), but I’ve noticed it’s made her even more clingy and sensitive throughout the day and not helping with the car.

Any advice? Specifically for the car issue? I don’t mind contact naps at home.

Baby crying and straining

I’m at a loss with what to do as GP’s are being useless. My baby cries and strains really bad after feeds can go on for hours. Dr reckons colic and reflux but the gaviscon they give constipates him. A few people have suggested dairy intolerance but I don’t know for sure, from minute he opens his eyes he seems so uncomfortable. He is on kendamil comfort any advice please 🙏🏼

Struggling with routines

I feel like I am doing something wrong. I see all these posts on social media with good day/bedtime routines and I am finding it so hard to establish one. My baby will only contact nap during the day and is incredibly fussy in the evening and ends up sleeping on me from around 7:30-8pm on a night then goes into her bed at around 10pm but I just feel like I should have a solid routine on an evening but I have no idea how to do this. FTM, just trying to survive!

Nappies

This is my opinion on nappies that I thought may be good to do for expecting Mums (uk version)

Mamia (Aldi) awesome cheap and rlly good
Pampers good have no complaints only purchase these if we’ve ran out of them when out and about just on expensive side
I’ve forgot make of the Lidl ones but the ones that begin with L I’ve honestly never ever had a good experience with these my baby’s nappy leaks every night when wearing them
