Where are you?! I'm in dire need of mom friends to connect with that are my jam. That get me. That can help scratch my itch to just be able to sit back and let my kids play in the dirt and push eachother and pull eachothers hair outside, 20yds away from me, instead of being right in my face stealing my oxygen. Is that too much to ask? Mommy needs some sanity! Added bonus if you're into tattoos and swapping stories!

This seems like the loneliest season for me just looking for mom friends who have babies the same age as my daughter 3mos and up. To literally do anything fun with. I’m in nyc queens open to friends everywhere

Working while Pregnant

Unfortunately my husband and my financial situation is not the greatest but he makes just enough that we don’t qualify for most government assistance and other similar programs. In order to afford bills I had to get a job. I looked everywhere for something remote or low intensity but after multiple months of getting rejected or no response I had to take the first offer I got. I am working as a merchandise stocker at Target. They are really great with working with me with what they can but unfortunately I come home from every shift in excruciating pain and nausea. Most of the pain is in my back, feet, and shoulder blades. I need some suggestions for things I can do to prevent the pain, things I can do to help calm the pain when I get home, accommodations I can reasonably ask for, or remote jobs that actually will hire someone. I know PT is a big thing but unfortunately my insurance is not great and I cannot afford it; keeping this in mind please suggest low cost solutions! TIA

Contraception

I'm just wondering what people's experiences are with different types of contraception post partum. I was on the pill prior to having my baby but reluctant to go back on that. I did try the coil but that didn't agree with me. Any advice would be appreciated x

Feeling lonely

Does anyone get sad at how little support friends and family have given since you have had your baby? Is this normal for everyone? My baby is 16 months old and some friends haven’t even met them. My side of the family live in a different country and my other half doesn’t have much family close by but they never check in or see how we are coping. Lately I am feeling a lot of rage on how hard things are and how no one ever even thinks to call by or see how we’re doing. I don’t expect free childcare or a house cleaner just a bit of acknowledgement or moral support 😂 since becoming a mum there are lots of friends I’ve barely spoken since to so maybe I was driving the friendships as they seem to be fizzling. Am I being selfish by feeling this way? I just feel so alone in all this and it’s exhausting and suffocating. Before I had kids I don’t think I was the best friend to my friends who were mums but I feel like I wasn’t this crap! I remembered birthdays and messaged regularly to check in and saw them often enough. Is this just a universal experience or am I alone in this

Law School

I had the craziest dream last night that I was dating Halland and that he enrolled me in law school making the impossible, possible. In the dream, I was crying with happiness at being set free from my own academic stalemate. I feel like I have a lot of civil rights issues in my life and I think I would be a better mom if I could defend my legal rights and the rights of my child. I mean, if I’m at home with a baby might as well be studying right ? My husband is a PhD and I only have my BFA and nursing school.

I ended up applying to the LLB program today starting in September. Is this a good career move? I’m due in February 🌈🎉🤰.

Back to work

I’m going back to work at the end of August and am gonna do nightshift so I can still be at home with my boy during the day. Has anyone done this before and have any tips on getting through it without being permanently exhausted🤣me and my partner opted for this as it’s easier because we don’t need childcare and I don’t want to miss out on milestones x
