Posts about child abuse

I've seen a couple of posts lately about noticing a child being abused in some sort of way, and the person then questioning whether or not they should report it.

I just want to put this out there for anyone who has doubts about reporting child abuse.. The answer is YES. Yes you should always report it if any part of you is concerned! Report it anonymously if you're scared for your safety. You could literally be saving a child's life!

Just wanted to put this out there for anyone that second guesses themselves.. its better to be safe than sorry

oh definitely.. if you even suspect a child or adult or literally anyone is being abused in any way it should be reported and if you don’t you could get in really bad trouble or what if that child gets hurt really badly and yk you didn’t speak up or say anything then it would kinda be on you (by you i mean like whoever knows about the child abuse)

Gabriel Hernandez will always stay with me, and will always make me proactive about children’s safety. I’d rather have a misunderstanding of a situation than do nothing and mourn another child.

it’s so unfortunate so many people fall for the bystander effect and kids are left to suffer because of it. it’s never “complicated” when the risk of not saying something is so heavy.

would you call CPS on your neighbours who you can clear as day hear through the vents “stop hitting me daddy”?

for the record, I have called. I just want to know other people’s thoughts and opinions. I was hesitant to call, because they’ve made false statements about me abusing my kids (and I don’t). what they saw and claimed was I abuse my kids because I grabbed our 2.5y old’s arm from running across the STREET when the bus was coming & from going over where they kept open canisters of weed, a bong, cigarettes and alcohol. heaven forbid I keep my child SAFE… but no that ‘s abuse to them.

Forest school vs nursery

My toddler has only just turned one, but I’m having a look at securing places for when he’s two. So wanted to see what people thought!

He currently goes to nursery 3 days a week and I’m weighing up the idea of sending him to a forest school on one of the nursery days instead 🌳.

Has anyone had any experience doing this? Worried about the transition from nursery and him being unsettled out of his usual routine, but also think it would be a really good experience to spend lots of time outside and exploring!

Would you be upset?

I had to go out for 1 hour and left my 3 year old with my partner (his dad) and when I come back he was asleep on the sofa and my 3 year old was playing on the floor. All is ok, but I feel angry he was unsupervised!??

Teachers (or other mandated reporters) would you do anything about a minor being forced to attend church?

You know about this situation because the minor keeps privately expressing to you that they don't want to go and have tried everything to avoid it. The minor claims they are manipulated with guilt and threats of losing privileges at home when they don't want to go, if neither of those work then they are physically escorted to the car and to the church. The minor has started staying after school to vent about this situation and to avoid being at home.

Anyone else angry 24/7?🤣

Gosh I am so angry and irritated all the time. Sometimes I have no reason to be but I feel like I can’t help it especially with my partner. He is so gentle, loving and patient but any little thing he does sets me off. I feel terrible! Anyone going through this?

Are there any Mums who will be teaching their little one reading BEFORE any school?

I know I always see Mums saying that they are leaving it up to the teachers for when their little starts school. However, are there any Mums teaching reading before that instead? We have been teaching our toddler words here and there in his favorite books and will do more as he gets older. We just want to give him the best start and also it is easier for us to teach him where we can offer one on one... Which I know can be difficult in school, when there is a class full of children
