Movement concerns 28 weeks
I called triage just now to say I’ve had concerns over reduced movements, they said if I’d felt baby move at all that it was probably fine and because I have an anterior placenta that it can cushion movements.
I’ve always felt baby kick really strongly and in clear kicking sessions multiple times a day, particularly in the evening. I haven’t had that for the past week or so. I’ve only felt the occasional very soft low down movement and then yesterday I had a cluster of lightening crotch pains and braxton hicks throughout the day with a period like ache and back ache. No fluid or bleeding etc.
I just feel quite confused because I had a midwife appointment on Wednesday and she insisted I should have a movement pattern by now - the baby kicked during the Doppler and the heart beat was fine but that was probably the only time since Sunday that I’ve felt big movements like that.
I just feel a bit torn because yes I feel low down soft internal small rumble like movements occasionally like when sitting/lying when I woke up, after lunch and after dinner and it’s like 2 or 3 of them max at a time, but other than that it just feels pretty quiet and still. Movements used to feel so massive even with an anterior placenta and even if standing - is this just the new normal or should I be worried about a reduction? I’m only 28 weeks tomorrow and 50th percentile so I don’t feel like baby is so big that the space would be stopping kicks etc and I’m not feeling stretches or rolling/pushing in lieu of the kicks.
I just don’t know whether my midwife has freaked me out about a pattern and reporting reduction or if I should be pushing the very busy sounding triage lady a bit more?
