Why do some parwnt wean their babies before 6 months?

Just genuinely curious, no hate. I just don't understand.

Like there's a mum in my babies group posting about wanting to start giving her 3 month old purees?

I had my friend round the other day and she was all "are you going to bother waiting until 6 months?"

I just thought it was standard to wait until baby could sit up straight etc?

I know there are some people that start at 4 months, but I never really understood why? Is there medical reasons? Or any other benefit to weaning earlier? Also how do you feed a 4 month old if they can't sit steadily in a high chair?

To be fair my son was sitting up unassisted at 3.5m but i think its mostly just excitement I’m dreading weaning at all with my second let alone considering doing it early but with my first i was so excited to start x

Some pediatric doctors say it’s okay once baby is a supported sitter. Some want to try and go with what they think is best.

We let my first try some solids a little before 6 months. Like 5 and a half months. I thought that it might make her happier and sleep better. She was a colicky baby and never slept. It didn’t do anything lol

My daughter had trouble gaining weight so they said it might help to start feeding solids at 4 months and it helped a lot

Toddler (29 months) Name Change 💕

Please be kind, I’m just looking for friendly advice or thoughts. I had a few names on my baby name list for my daughter that I almost used. I do like her name, but as she’s grown, she really fits another name on my list so beautifully with her appearance & personality. It’s close enough in sound that I don’t think her development would be interfered with. I’m not worried about how others in my life would react to the change, it’s all about trying to decide what is best for her 💕
My thought is to use her given name as another middle name so she’d have 2 middle names 🤍

Anatomy scan worries

Hi girls
I'm a little worried it might be normal
I can't help but worry at my 20 weeks scan they couldn't see baby girls heart or spine and kidneys so i have to go back in 2 weeks.
The mesurments atm are worrying me but they didn't say anything
head was measuring 13% 165 mm
Cerebellum 95% 22.8mm not sure if this normal
Ac 99% 165.8 mm
femur 48%
I will ask at my next scan as I didnt get the results until it was time to go and looked at them at home .
Has anyone else experienced these type of readings.
I wonder if my baby will be normal or not .

Touching my bump

I have a little bit of anxiety about people touching my bump without permission. I feel like some people just feel like they can. And I'm barely a hugger even with friends let alone having someone touch the bump (I don't even have a bump yet and I'm nervous)! How do you politely set boundaries in this area?!

Driving after c section

How long did it take for people to be able to drive again? I’m really stressed about not being able to drive independently. I have family around but they do all work full time and can’t always rely on them. I also don’t live somewhere with good public transport
