Touching my bump

I have a little bit of anxiety about people touching my bump without permission. I feel like some people just feel like they can. And I'm barely a hugger even with friends let alone having someone touch the bump (I don't even have a bump yet and I'm nervous)! How do you politely set boundaries in this area?!

I was lucky that actually apart from one family member (I wasn’t worried about it and I know what she is like anyway) nobody touched my bump or even asked to. I think it’s becoming more normal to not do that and actually be respectful. Hopefully you won’t need to say anything at all!

I would put my hand over my stomach and do a one armed hug. You don’t have to say anything and if they go to touch you, they get your hand. Might not always work

“Careful, he bites!”

Or just gently place your hand on their stomach while maintaining silent eye contact

If someone asks, or goes to put their hand on your belly, just gentle push their hand away and say “no thankyou!” Easy

Covering your belly with your hand helps deter it. If they try anyway, just polite say oh no, I'd rather you didn't!

For me it worked just placing my hands on my belly

Toddler (29 months) Name Change 💕

Please be kind, I’m just looking for friendly advice or thoughts. I had a few names on my baby name list for my daughter that I almost used. I do like her name, but as she’s grown, she really fits another name on my list so beautifully with her appearance & personality. It’s close enough in sound that I don’t think her development would be interfered with. I’m not worried about how others in my life would react to the change, it’s all about trying to decide what is best for her 💕
My thought is to use her given name as another middle name so she’d have 2 middle names 🤍

Abit confused on what’s going on. Baby gone from 90th percentile to 60th in a few weeks and says baby growth is still a slight worry .

Anyone know why is that?

Inductions

I had my 36 week growth scan yesterday, everything is measuring perfectly, baby is weighing 6.2lbs and following their growth chart nicely. But I thought it was weird how the consultant said 'ok we will do an induction at 40weeks yeah?' and I was like umm no?? I'm a ftm, had a really straightforward pregnancy with no issues, only reason I have consultant lead is cause my BMI was slightly over the margin and it's my first baby. Has anyone else found that they're pushing inductions without medical reasons?

Driving after c section

How long did it take for people to be able to drive again? I’m really stressed about not being able to drive independently. I have family around but they do all work full time and can’t always rely on them. I also don’t live somewhere with good public transport
