How do you know when your 2 year old ‘loves’ something?

I feel so stupid asking this but when I hear people say oh my child loves Toy Story or lighting McQueen, I just wonder how they know that 🤣😅 my son doesn’t really watch telly if he does it only Miss Rachel occasionally to try and help with his speech but there isn’t anything he loves as such so I just wonder how people know or is it for me introduce something like that and see how he takes to it even though he wouldn’t just sit and watch telly anyway

It's when you go to Walmart and cannot leave the store without another one of those toys. We're up to bin 5 of cars (Disney, Hot Wheels, Matchbox) and bin 2 of dinosaurs. We even have dinosaur pull back cars...
We did not introduce him to dinosaurs. He just saw the toys when Rebirth came out

I'm the same as you. I think that a lot of parents project to their kids what they like. Most your kids/toddler doesn't really care what they play with. They can have fun with pretty much everything

We did no screen time so she never loved a particular character. But I’ve always said that my daughter loves high heels, because since being a baby in a pushchair she would light up and point and stare at any lady in high heels, and if we went to other people’s homes she would try and put other people shoes on if they had a heel! So it doesn’t have to be a tv show for them to love something, just follow their interests.

If it’s a tv show or film, then you’ll know because they’ll only want to watch that over and over 🤪 Same for a favourite book - you won’t be allowed to read anything else.
And toys, they’ll just play with the same thing over and over. My boy loves cars, he can play with them all day and requests new cars if we go anywhere that might sell them 😂🫣

Nappies

Hi girlies, wondering what nappies are decent these days (preferably own brands). I fell in love with Tesco nappies but they’ve now changed the design and they’re so thin and the tabs are super stretchy which makes the tongues come out. Also tried Aldi nappies (they’re alright in younger sizes but find older sizes leak LOADS) and Asda (despised how thin they were). Any people recommend!

Nappies

Super random. But has anybody used nappies like this before, I was gifted them for my baby shower and threw the packaging away & I love them! But I can't find the brand of the nappies to buy more 😭😭

Combo feeding

So… I’ve just had a conversation with my mum about combo feeding when baby comes I.E. breast feeding from the evening through to the morning and then day time feeds being formula, I’m thinking this as as much as it sounds silly I don’t feel comfortable with breastfeeding in public, my mum has shot this right down and told me I’m being stupid and should strictly breastfeed even when I’ve voiced how I feel, what do you guys think? Am I being silly and overthinking the whole breastfeeding in public

Infant dyschezia how do I treat it???

My 4 week old went to the gp as he was constantly unsettled and squirming they gave infant gaviscon but I found it more of just a relief for him than an actual solution….he has also tried Infacol….and has been told he probably has reflux…. But I find he struggles to pass stools and fart even after all exercising techniques???? Anything I can do else to help I’m settle again instead of constantly straining….
