Is anyone else really struggling to put down their baby for the night? My little one is 7 weeks and sleeps in a next to me, once in there will sleep for up to 3 hours, but for the last few nights within seconds of me lying her down in there, even when shes absolutely spark out in my arms, she will start stirring as soon as her butt hits the mattress, and then within minutes is awake and crying. I put her down butt first and so slowly and gently, keep my hands on her for a minute or so but it just doesn't work, am at my wits end! In the day she mostly contact naps or naps in the pram if we're out, will very rarely let me lie her flat during the day too xx

I’m going through the same, my daughter is also 7 weeks now.
I’ve started doing a soft body massage and then pat dry her with warm water cloth and then swaddle her and it’s helped me. Try if that works for you.

5 weeks here but had a similar issue, I started doing a hug transfer (basically leaning on the next to me whilst still holding him). Laying him down slightly on his side to reduce the reflex waking him whilst still in my arms and basically moving my arm away from his legs/bum first and start doing bum pats whilst he falls back into a deep sleep and then after that move my arm that was supporting his head/neck. Once I was fulling away from him and in a deep sleep I would roll him onto his back off his side x

My baby is 6 weeks and I know it’s not advised to bath your baby every day but we have started to do this every night before he goes to bed - ( we don’t use soap everytime ) - I then cuddle him to warm him up and give him a little massage before getting him in his sleeping bag , feed and cuddled to sleep to then transfer and his night time sleeps have been amazing since doing this
