First time mum due in October, I am forever scrolling Amazon to figure out the stuff I still need from the baby checklist, and I’m currently on a tangent of nappy bins. I don’t want a nappy bin, but I am debating a food waste bin for the night changes, since they have an odour filter built in. I wondered if anyone has done this and if it works?

Nappy bins are pointless. I was so excited about my tommee tippee nappy bin, I used it religiously until it was time change the filters (which was after 1 week)
The refills are about £14 and it doesn't last at all. If I was you, I'd invest in a waste bin with a lid like you said and get some scented nappy bags and some scented bin liners x you can also get bin powder that releases fragrances Everytime you open the lid so no bad smells! Xxx

You can buy cheap alternatives for the tommee tippee nappy bin on Amazon - we had one especially for the early stages when you have to change nappies a lot during nights etc. I barely need to use it anymore because I just put them in a nappy bag and in the bin outside 😂

Nappy bag and a husband to take it outside is your answer

Someone gave us a nappy bin, so we use it. But I certainly wouldn’t buy one! The refills are astronomically expensive. To be honest, just buy some cheap nappy bags and in the night tie up the nappy in a nappy bag and just collected them all up in the morning. That might sound gross but honestly, that’s what I would do. You don’t wanna be faffing around in the middle of the night! Also, you’re only really changing nappies in the nighttime for a very short period of time.

Just use a nappy bag, double bag it and take it downstairs in the morning pop in the bin and then take outside honestly all these bits are so pointless in my opinion it’s just a way for companies to make more money with items we don’t really need.

We don’t have a nappy bin. We have nappy bags that are scented. Don’t find it an issue during the night

Don't bother nappy bag and disposable live!

Nappy bags easier and cheaper!!

Just use nappy bags. We had a nappy bin with our first and literally never used it.
