Anyone had baby at 34 weeks?

Hello! My baby was born at 34 weeks! He is 9 months now. He is meeting all the milestones, well almost all! (He is not proper crawling yet - just hands crawling)
For me having a premature baby was something that caught me by surprise! I wonder how are the premature babies specially at 34 weeks when they are older. Thanks x

My twins are not much older but born at 35 weeks, they are nearly 11 months old. One crawls properly the other doesn’t. They are standing and pulling to stand on everything. Lots of my twin mum friends say their babies have met milestones at their adjusted age which I find is pretty correct for my boys too x

My daughter was born at 36 weeks so not quite 34 weeks but she’s now 2.5 years old and is so clever. Met all her milestones at the corrected age and now you can’t even tell she was born early. Her speech is fantastic for a 2.5 year old and all her gross and fine motor skills are great x

Do you think it’s weird that adults are so into their own birthdays? Like full weekends out of it, can’t do anything else because it’s their birthday month. I get like milestones birthdays (18,21,30 & 50.) but it’s not that special, right?

Only asking because my friend of 15+ years blew off my baby shower because it was her birthday weekend, not even the actual day. Her response was “I’m a Leo”

Is this normal?

37w3d
Just had sexual inter course and then went the toilet and this was when I wiped
Rang triage and they told me they’re not concerned keep an eye out on the blood for any changes ect and this could be the start of labour.
But I’m still so anxious has anyone else had this?

Advice

Im 38 weeks +2 pregnant, and for the past week I've suffered with tremendous pelvic girdle pain. It's become so bad that I can hardly walk without being in agony, and I'm not sleeping because of it.

I have tried all the usual recommendations, but nothing at all is easing it.

I've had some tightening across the bump all week, and baby seems to be moving very vigorously now too, which comes with the sharp crotch pain. No other signs really. I am not really sure whether to phone triage today to get advice.

Obviously, I'm due soon, so referral to physio is Obviously not an option. Do I just need to ride this out somehow? Or could I maybe get some medication to help elevate the pain?

Last night I also noticed my hands and feet getting hot.

I've contacted my midwife for advice and waiting on a response. Any advice would be very welcome as a FT mum to be.

Thank you

To scan or not to scan??

I’ve got a scan booked in 2 weeks time when I ✨ should ✨ be 8+2, however there’s a scan available today at 2pm, I’m currently 6+1…

I really want to see a heartbeat before I tell my son I’m expecting and if I measure early I’m guessing I might not see that today, on the other hand if I do it will massively reassure me… help 😱
