Facing forward in car seat

My sons 22 months nearly and hes forwatd facing

It depends on your state or place you live. You can also just go until it maxes out on your car seat for rear facing. We turned them around 2. In our state it says 1 or 20 lbs meaning they could have been switched early. But we waited til around 2. Tons of people will say to rear face as long as possible. But for us we turned them because they got sick in the car or cried a lot. And we do lots of road trips so being able to see them or put on the tv in the van helps them and helps us.

Rear facing as long as possible for us, their legs are flexible. I’d recommend you do thorough research yourself into why they recommend rear facing for as long as possible ie 4+. There are car seats for older children designed for rear facing now too x

Won’t be turning my son until 5. I have an extended rear facing seat for this reason. I’d rather broken legs in a crash than a broken neck and internal decapitation which is a much higher risk if you turn them before 4/5

I have a axkidd rear facing only car seat in my car so he has to face backward but has enough leg room, my husband has a 360 cosetto and faces him forward as his legs are pretty much under his chin. If we were to do a motorway journey or a long ride we’d go in my car and keep him rear facing in case of a RTA. X

As long as possible but at least 4 years old for us. Our 2022 baby is still rearward facing so we definitely won't but turning our 2024 baby any time soon.

Noooooo. They can rear face until the height of a 60th percentile 7 year old! Their spines do not fuse properly until 5-6 years old! This should be the minimum! Much safer to max out than turn now

Keep her rear facing as long as she’s within the car seat limits, my 3 year old is in an extended rear facing car seat so she’ll be in it till 125cm/36kg she is ok the taller side and she’s 100cm rn it’s about safety not comfort but kids are flexible and often don’t mind crossing their legs, my son is 21 months his car seat maxes out at 18kg but we’ll be getting him the same car seat as his sister soon to keep him rear facing for as long as possible, it’s 5x safer than forward facing and not worth the risk imo as you might be a good driver but you don’t know whose on the road at the same time as you

My eldest was a week shy of 4 and that was because she outgrew the seat we had and we couldn’t afford a higher limit one.

The twins will be rear facing until they outgrow it. I suspect after 4 because they aren’t as high centiles and my eldest was
